Reiki may help with your anxiety mainly by promoting deep relaxation and calming the nervous system.
During your Reiki session, I gently place my hands on or just above the body in a quiet environment, which can help the body shift from a stress response to a more relaxed state. This may slow breathing, reduce muscle tension, and create a sense of mental calm. Many people describe feeling peaceful or emotionally lighter after a session, which can help ease the constant worry and restlessness that often come with anxiety.
Reiki can also support emotional balance by encouraging a meditative, mindful state where racing thoughts slow down. This relaxation may improve sleep, reduce stress levels, and increase awareness of tension held in the body. While Reiki is not a replacement for medical or psychological treatment, it simply provides a calming space that supports overall wellbeing.
