It’s been a musical month at The Abbeys. 🎵 💛

Russell Weaver was in singing our favourite songs and our musical moments session had the lounge full of lovely singing voices and tapping feet too.

Cups of tea, families joining us and smiles all around. Everything we love!! 🥰

Geoff always loves a good sing-song and loved joining in. He has a special love of Elvis and rock and roll so he was right in his element.

Beryl was amazed when Lewis the ventriloquist bird popped out of the box. “Look at that!” she said.

A lovely way to spend the morning. 🥰

First a wander down to Doncaster Lakeside, then because they fancied a McDonald’s, that’s exactly where we went next.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Having our own minibus (and the best driver in Lee) means days like this are never far away. ☺️

A beautiful walk round Langold with Bill, John and new resident Christine. ☀️

John said “That sunshine is like being back in Cyprus and Gibraltar, I was in the army for over 22 years. Cyprus, Gibraltar, everywhere!"

Christine made jokes about the ducks not liking the oats and that they must be posh ducks and geese. She’s a very funny lady. It's been lovely to get to know her better.

This week’s Fun Friday at The Abbeys included an exercise session with Abbie. 🎈💪

It was a lovely way to bring everyone together at the end of the week to get our bodies moving. We're already seeing some wonderful benefits with residents showing improved balance and strength.

Thank you to the fantastic Abbie for leading the session and to everyone who took part.

An Easter party to remember at The Abbeys. 🐣

Alan Turner performed for us, the Easter bunny did his we rounds and we enjoyed a buffet lunch thanks to our fab kitchen team. It was brilliant to see so many loved ones joining in, thank you to everyone who came along.

Our team member Courtney’s three year old son Cole joined Alan on the mic and the residents absolutely loved their performance. A gorgeous day all round.
