I'm a vet tech and I've seen it too many times. Owners leave during euthanasia because it's "too hard." But their dog spends those final moments looking for them. Confused. Scared. Searching for their person who abandoned them when they needed them most. Your dog loved you their ENTIRE LIFE. The least you can do is be there at the end. Yes, it's devastating. Yes, you'll cry. But they deserve your presence. Let your face be the last thing they see. Hold them. Stay. They waited their whole life for you. Don't leave them now.
