Sports Massage is a form of massage involving the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activities.
The manipulation of soft tissue prior to and after exercise promotes physical, psychological, neurological and psychological changes that aid performance and particularly recovery.
Some examples are
The release of muscle tension and pain.
The removal of waste products such as acetic acid and carbon dioxide.
Reduced discomfort from DOMS( delayed onset muscle soreness)
