A disappointing 3-1 loss away to York MvF today.

Following a bright start we went 1-0 up, but were soon pegged back and went in at half time 2-1 down.
Plenty of chances created in second half, but we just couldn’t capitalise and take them. A late goal made it 3-1 and that’s how it finished.

This weekend sees the squad travel to the historic city of York to face York MvF FC.
It’s been approx 2 years since we last faced each other so will be good to renew our acquaintances.
Kick off is 14:00 at St John Uni.

Fit4U 2-5 Wakefield Wideboys

Unfortunately, not the start we wanted today in our first game of the Yorkshire XL11s League 2nd phase..
We never really got going today, soon found ourselves 2-0 down.. a great finish from Taylor Wright got us back int the game… 1-2…
However, a third soon came for Wakefield.
A stopping header at the back stick from Wayne Curtin got us backing the game in second half 2-3, but we could never fully get back into game.
Wakefield rallied and scored 2 more goals, FT 2-5.

Today’s MoM (voted by opposition) was our gaffer Dean Buffam.

Our next game is on 1st March, away against York MvF

This is a home game at Wath Academy 13:30 kick off.

With two games left of the first phase of the league season, the battle is on to secure the spots for the second phase…
