IDD (intervertebral differential dynamics) Therapy is a specialist non invasive treatment for chronic back, neck and sciatica pain. IDD Therapy uses computer controlled pulling forces to gently decompress a targeted spinal segment thus reducing pressure on specific discs. IDD Therapy is gentle, safe and relaxing. Many patients fall asleep during treatment.

• A specialist non-invasive treatment for CHRONIC BACK PAIN, NECK PAIN AND LEG PAIN in particular HERNIATED DISCS and SCIATICA
• It uses computer controlled pulling forces delivered by the Accu SPINA medical device to gently draw apart targeted segments of the spine

Alan Smith & Paul Smith Physiotherapy is now incorporating Rotherham Back Pain Clinic ☺️

Intervertebral Differential Dynamics (IDD) Therapy is…
• A specialist non-invasive treatment for CHRONIC BACK PAIN, NECK PAIN AND LEG PAIN in particular HERNIATED DISCS and SCIATICA
• It uses computer controlled pulling forces delivered by the Accu SPINA medical device to gently draw apart targeted segments of the spine
• This takes pressure off specific discs and relieves muscle spasm

So what does it involve?
• Patients wear an infrared heat belt to warm lower back muscles before treatment begins
• A series of computer-controlled pulling forces are gradually applied at precise angles to gently distract the vertebrae surrounding a targeted disc
• Patients remain completely relaxed during the 26 minute session on the SPINA machine
• Cold therapy is then applied to minimize any temporary soreness which may be caused by muscles being worked in a new way
• Gentle exercise and activity are gradually introduced as treatment progresses, as this is very important for long-term pain relief
