We are excited to be rolling out EMMA, our new AI phone assistant, to help answer calls more quickly.

EMMA will begin a bedding-in period from the 16th of February starting with limited hours while our team closely monitors and fine-tunes the service.

Your care and access remain our priority. Calls will still reach our reception team as normal during this period.

We expect EMMA to be fully live on the 23rd of February. Further updates will be available on our page.

From some recent patient feedback, you told us that the patient sign-in screen was too far away and slow to respond.

We listened πŸ‘‚ and we’ve made improvements.

βœ… We’ve installed a new replacement sign-in unit
βœ… It’s now positioned closer to reception for easier access
βœ… As soon as you walk through the main waiting area doors, you’ll find the screen on the wall to the left
βœ… The system has been updated to tell you which waiting area to take a seat

These changes help to optimise your check-in experience and reduce queues at the reception desk.

ℹ️ Our front desk staff are still available to help if you need any additional assistance.

Dear Patients,

We would like to announce the retirement of our esteemed partner, Dr. Russell Brynes. After many dedicated years of service, Dr. Brynes has decided to retire, marking the end of an era at Woodstock Bower.

Since joining our practice in 1987, Dr. Brynes has been a pillar of professionalism and compassion, earning immense respect from both colleagues and patients alike. His unwavering commitment to patient care and his gentle approach have left an indelible mark on our practice.

As Dr. Brynes embarks on this new chapter in his life, we want to extend our warmest and heartfelt wishes to him. We are immensely grateful for his contributions over the years and the positive impact he has had on all of us. His presence will be greatly missed!

This link is accessible between 07.30am-10.30am. All medical requests are triaged by the partners, your appointment request will be directed to the most suitable clinician.

We have switched to a TOTAL TRIAGE system Monday- Friday from 07.30-09.30am.

We encourage all patients TO AVOID WAITING ON TELEPHONES and instead use the following link:

All appointment are triaged by a GP Partner of the Surgery.

The aim of this new system is improve access for our patients.

PATIENT NOTICE - MISSED APPOINTMENTS

The vast majority of our patients attend their appointments or let us know if they cannot attend or no longer need them. We really appreciate this as it means we can free those appointments up to be used by other patients.

However, a small but significant number of patients miss their appointments without cancelling them. This means the doctor or nurse is waiting for that patient to arrive, when they could have been seeing another patient.

Please help us to help you by contacting us if you cannot attend.

If you cannot attend your appointments for any reason, please let us know within 24 hours of your appointment or as soon as possible so that we can offer the appointment to someone else.

If you repeatedly fail to attend appointments, you may be removed from the practice list and may be required to find an alternative doctor.

Keep it or cancel it! Someone else needs the appointment!
