We are looking to recruit a part-time receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, strong team player and have the ability to spin many plates.

The position consists of 4 x 5 and a half hour shifts 8am - 1.30pm or 1pm -6.30pm over 5 days on a rota basis and will include Fridays.

This is a permanent position.

We have a practice population of approximately 12500 patients over 3 sites, Morthen Road, Ravenfield and Braithwell. The position will be based across Wickersley and Ravenfield sites

SystmOne is our clinical system.

The successful candidate should have a flexible approach to their day to meet the demands of the practice especially to cover for holidays, sickness and other absences. The ability to work well as part of team is essential and they will also have excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, and IT skills.

** IMPORTANT NOTICE **

Our next practice training day is Thursday 9th of October.

Due to staff attending a whole day training course, we will be closing at 10.30 am rather than our usual 12 noon.

The Oliver McGowan training course is mandatory Government training for all staff working in health or social care.

We have arranged NHS 111 cover from 10.30 am and patients will still be able to submit routine requests via Anima. All clinicians will be triaging first thing in the morning and we have plenty of appointments available on the Friday.

CHANGES TO ANIMA FROM 1 OCTOBER 25

Following changes in our NHS contract, with effect from 1st October, patients will be able to submit ROUTINE and ADMIN requests via Anima, once the system has stopped accepting on the day medical requests due to safety limits.

Patients will acknowledge that they understand their request may not receive a response for up to 72 hours, although they will receive an acceptance message. Any request received that is not routine will be signposted to NHS 111, Pharmacy First or A&E.

This means that patients can still contact us via Anima with non urgent or admin queries.

The system will be open from 8am to 6pm every working day.

Please note you can still contact us by telephone or in person. All medical requests will be put through the Anima system and triaged by a clinician before an appointment is offered.

💉💉 FLU AND COVID CLINICS 💉💉
Our Flu and Covid Clinics are available for booking from 1 October 2025.

On Saturday 4th of October, we are running a clinic at Wickersley Methodist Church from 8.15 - 12 noon followed by a drive through service for our housebound patients from 12.30.

THESE ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY - if you are eligible, you will shortly receive a booking link, or you can contact us by phone or Anima to arrange.

We are in the process of contacting Housebound patients to arrange a nurse visit if they cannot attend the sessions arranged.

Emergency Alerts System Test – Sunday 7 September at 3:00 PM

The UK Government will be conducting a nationwide test of the Emergency Alerts System on Sunday 7 September at 3:00 PM.

This system is intended to provide urgent warnings in situations where there is a risk to life, such as during severe weather events or other emergencies. Routine testing is essential to ensure the system operates effectively should it be required in a real-life scenario.

Key details of the test:

The alert will be sent to compatible mobile phones and tablets.
Devices will emit a loud, siren-like sound, even if set to silent.
The alert will also vibrate and may read out the message aloud.
The alert will last for approximately 10 seconds.
No action is required from recipients.

Please let elderly or vulnerable friends, family and neighbours know that this is happening so as not to alarm them.
