🔹Let’s talk the “Pilates Shake”🔸

When your body starts shaking during Pilates, it can feel alarming — but it’s usually a good sign. Here’s what’s really happening inside your muscles.

🔥 1. Muscle Fatigue

Pilates focuses on slow, controlled movements and long holds. That means your muscles are under constant tension — often longer than in traditional weightlifting.

When a muscle gets tired:
• Your nervous system struggles to keep signals smooth
• Muscle fibers fire in small, uneven bursts
• You feel that visible shaking or trembling

🧠 2. Neuromuscular Adaptation

Pilates activates deep stabilizing muscles you may not use much in daily life.

Examples:
• Transverse abdominis (deep core)
• Pelvic floor
• Multifidus (deep spinal stabilizers)

When these muscles aren’t used often, your brain has to “learn” how to control them. During that learning phase, signals can be less coordinated — causing shaking.

Over time, the shaking usually decreases as control improves.

💪 3. Strength at the Edge of Your Capacity

Pilates often places you in:
• Extended lever positions (long arms/legs)
• Eccentric control (slow lowering)
• Isometric holds
