Another fantastic Arts & Crafts session today where everyone created their own beautiful Safety Jars 💙✨

These calming jars are a great tool to help with grounding, relaxation, and taking a moment to pause when things feel overwhelming. It was lovely to see everyone getting creative and making their jars unique with colours, glitter, and decorations 🌈

A big thank you to everyone who came along and got involved!

🎨 Reminder: Arts & Crafts takes place every Saturday from 7:00pm – 8:30pm.

We had the amazing opportunity to visit the BRAND NEW office space for Empowering Men Initiative CIC yesterday.

The space has been thoughtfully put together to feel welcoming, safe, and supportive from the moment you walk in. From the calming seating areas to the private rooms and positive messaging on the walls, it’s clear how much care and intention has gone into creating an environment where people can feel comfortable and safe opening up.

What EMICIC are doing to support men, particularly around issues like domestic abuse and mental health, is so important and having a space like this will make a real difference to the people who access their service.

Massive credit to everyone involved in making this happen and we wish you the best of look in your future endeavours.

🎨✨ Arts & Crafts Tonight ✨🎨

Another great evening at our Arts & Crafts group, getting creative with abstract line art and colour 🖌️

It was amazing to see how everyone started with simple lines and turned them into unique, vibrant pieces, no two the same! A really relaxing session full of creativity, focus, and good conversation 💛

We love seeing everyone express themselves in their own way and build confidence through art 🌟

At Rotherham Safe Space, we are committed to keeping the environment safe and supportive for everyone. Sharps or harmful items are not permitted within the space.

If an item is found, it will be removed and a temporary ban may be put in place, depending on the level of risk.

We’ve been getting into the Easter spirit at our Arts & Crafts group this week, decorating eggs with lots of colour, creativity, and personality 🎨🥚

From bold patterns to funny faces, everyone brought their own unique ideas, and the results were amazing! It’s always great to see people relaxing, having a laugh, and getting creative together 💛

✨ Arts & Crafts Group ✨

We’ve had a brilliant time in our Arts & Crafts group recently, getting creative with knitting and loom work 🧶💚

It’s been great to see everyone learning new skills, supporting each other, and enjoying some relaxed time together. The progress has been fantastic, and the creations speak for themselves! 👏

We’d like to give a huge shoutout to Mel, who stepped in to support us during a period of short staffing. Your help, encouragement, and positivity made a real difference to both staff and the people we support 💛

Although Mel has now moved on to the new service in Heeley and Gleadless, we want to say a big thank you from everyone at RSS and wish you all the very best in your new role, they’re lucky to have you! 🙌

We’ll miss you, Mel, and hope to see you again soon 😊

A new month is here and we’d love to welcome you to join us at Rotherham Safe Space 💚

Whether you’re looking for connection, creativity, support, or simply a safe place to spend time, our doors are open.

📅 What’s on this month:
�🧠 Weekly mental health discussion groups exploring topics including stress, physical health, neurodiversity, social media, and PTSD in relation to mental health
�☕ The Social Brew every Thursday evening (7pm–8:30pm) — a relaxed space to chat and connect
�🎨 Arts & Crafts sessions on Saturdays (7pm–8:30pm) — a welcoming space to get creative and unwind

✔ Please note: Crisis and emotional support is still available on group days.

You don’t need to book, just come along. Everyone is welcome.
