"THE MIGHTY QUINN"💔
WOW...a tough pill to swallow this one!! Its with great sadness to say our good friend Terry Quinn lost his battle to Cancer this week, comfortable and surrounded by the people he loved.
Terry wasn't just a customer...to me he was a friend, my neighbour growing up living next door to my mum and my football manager who introduced me to the adult game at the age of 16⚽️.
Over the last couple of years many of you will know that Terry has been fighting the biggest battle of his life against the big 'C'. The strength and courage he has shown to overcome the physical, psychological and emotional pain this has caused leaves me speechless. With the same grit and determination he showed on the football pitch he went on to beat cancer the first time around, getting himself as fit as he could for his surgery and treatments, putting every ounce of effort into every rep and every set. Whilst going through all this he still found time to show courage, support and motivation to others who were on their Cancer journey! Quinny never gave up and took the fight right until the end...
The admiration I have for him will last a lifetime and I am gutted the fight was eventually lost, knowing how hard you worked against the odds. But as in the theme of the game and not to give this horrible disease the limelight..a game won and a game lost is a DRAW and for this everyone is so proud of what you achieved...I just wish we had a chance of a replay👊😔
From everyone at Functional Fitness who had the pleasure of being in the same room as this remarkable man, we send our condolences, love and strength at this difficult time to Julie, Becky and Liam and close family and friends..."The Mighty Quinn" will be sorely missed...
Take a minute to watch one of life's best in action because i know if it wasn't for his dedication, strength and sheer will to survive and live...the game would have been lost after the first whistle!!
FLY HIGH MY GOOD FRIEND🫶❤️💪🙌
RIP TERRY (MIGHTY) QUINN
