Highfield Level 3 Award in Delivering Training (RQF) (603/2930/0)
Start Date 05/12/2022
End Date 07/12/2022
Cost £300.00
Venue: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
The course is delivered over 2 and a half days. On the first day, you learn the theory of the teaching characteristics, including 'the teaching cycle', 'assessment of the learners' or 'session planning'. We encourage our learners to take an active part and contribute with what they already know about training others- every thought counts! On the second day, after we have concluded the theory of teaching, the rest of the day is dedicated to the practical preparation for day 3 – ‘Micro-teach Delivery’. This involves learners working on and putting a short session plan together with all the materials and resources for a short microteach session of 30 min. On the third day-morning, learners themselves deliver a short 30 min session on a learner’s choice of topic to their peers and reflect on it. For the learners, it is an opportunity to learn something new, put it into practice and look back at themselves as teachers, which is always developmental for them! Learners also have a chance to observe other peers teach and provide them with valuable, encouraging feedback. Teaching, observing, and reflecting on micro sessions is part of the assessment that leads to gaining a certificate in Delivering Training.
