💪 Tattooed, tough but human - a reminder to never judge a book by its cover.

🥊 L*z Sharratt is a former professional boxer who now runs Golden gloves school of boxing in Rowley Regis. For L*z, the ring has always been more than a place to fight - it’s where he clears his head and blows away the worries of the day.

💚 L*z says: “Even the strongest-looking lads carry battles of their own. Sometimes, the greatest strength is finding the courage to let it out. Men try to be big and brave. You haven’t always got to be that way. Exercise is such a good way to help manage your mind.”

He now teaches both children and adults that boxing isn’t just about throwing punches, it’s about building fitness, discipline, and balance to help keep your mind in a good place.

💬 Our 'You ok, mate?' campaign is all about getting men in Sandwell talking. Too many men keep things bottled up, and we want to change that. Let’s break the stigma around men’s mental health and remind each other it’s always ok to reach out for support - the earlier, the better 💚

FT Lye Town Women 4 Leek Town 0

Lye Town Women got off to a flyer with 4 goals from 4 different players, Handy, Baptiste, Fox and Whyley and a clean sheet on the MD1.

A superb POTM defensive performance from Povey, including 2 assists, equally matched by Graham and Adams.

Offensively we proved a constant threat to complete a great all round team performance against robust opposition.

Attendance was 85 thank you for your support.
