Celebrating the umbilical cord today. What an incredible job they do and as a parent I am not sure we are given the lowdown on them! Inside your baby’s umbilical cord are 2 arteries and one vein, covered with whartons jelly to prevent them from compression and ensuring your baby receives all the nutrients they need to grow. An umbilical cord keepsake is a lovely gesture to celebrating this amazing part of your placenta.

Always in awe of the umbilical cord and really don’t think we celebrate it enough. The tiny threads that provide our baby with life and sustain it for 9/10 months are usually cut off and thrown away. Love that I get to create these keepsakes with placenta remedies.
