It’s so important that everyone who can stays at home, and follows government advice to keep the R number down. But while we’re at home, there are things we can keep in mind to stay as healthy as possible even when we don’t have our usual routines...
🤸♂️ Keep moving - without access to gyms and exercise classes, it’s easy to loose fitness. But there are loads of resources online to keep you moving and healthy! Why not try a yoga class on YouTube, or follow along with The Body Coach Joe Wicks’ daily PE classes.
💧 Drink plenty of water - when you are at home all day, it’s easy to end up making endless cups of tea, just for something to do. Be mindful of your caffeine intake, and instead make sure you drink plenty of water. If you’re working from home, staying hydrated will help keep you focused and productive.
😴 Take a Break - whatever you’re doing, whether it’s working from home, homeschooling, or binging Netflix on the sofa - avoid staying in one position for too long. Taking regular breaks is the best way to keep moving and reduce stress on your body.
💺 Avoid the sofa - if you are working from home, it might be very tempting to set yourself up in bed or on the sofa. But although it might seem comfy, if your back and neck are unsupported then you’re more likely to get aches and pains. Sit at a desk or table instead, with a chair that supports your back
