We were delighted to welcome The Iron Spring Morris Dancers to Rusthall Lodge today, who generously gave their time to visit and perform for our residents.😊
There was a wonderful buzz around the room as bells jingled, sticks tapped, and familiar tunes filled the air.🕺
The visit held special meaning, as the group share a strong connection with one of our residents, who danced alongside them for many years — making the afternoon feel even more personal and celebratory.
It was a lively, joyful performance full of energy, smiles, and shared memories, and our residents loved seeing such a great tradition brought to life right here at the Lodge.
Thank you to the dancers for creating such a warm, uplifting atmosphere and for filling the afternoon with music, laughter, and a real sense of occasion. 🤩😍

We were delighted to welcome Royal Tunbridge Wells Orpheus Male Voice Choir today.🎵
They filled the room with traditional Christmas music and the sound of their voices and harmonies was truly something special. Our residents really appreciate these moments, especially at Christmas time, when familiar music brings so much comfort and joy.
A big thank you to the choir for spending time with us and sharing such a beautiful performance — it was very much enjoyed by everyone listening. 🎶🎄

The children popped in for a short while, singing some cheerful songs and spending time chatting with our residents. It was a charming visit, and one that brought plenty of smiles and connection.

This afternoon at Rusthall Lodge, Jade Roxanne Music & Wellbeing filled the room with upbeat favourites from the past .🎤🎙️
From the first familiar tunes the whole room felt lifted by the energy of the music. These are songs many of our residents grew up with — instantly recognisable and still full of life all these years on. Jade also sang for residents in their rooms adding another aspect of enjoyment and care.
It was a relaxed, joyful afternoon, simply enjoying great music together and letting the atmosphere do the rest. A performance that brought plenty of smiles and a lovely sense of shared enjoyment throughout the room. 😊

We were very grateful to welcome joyfulcelebrancy to Rusthall Lodge for a Time to Remember ceremony — a gentle, thoughtful space to honour residents who have died and remember loved ones together.🕯️
Care homes are close communities, and taking time to pause and acknowledge loss is an important part of caring for everyone within them. This ceremony recognised by our residents, staff, and families . It was important to welcome Joy to Rusthall Lodge for space to honour residents who have died and to remember loved ones together.
This ceremony recognised our residents, staff, and families, and the shared experiences of loss that connect us.🥰
Through music, poetry, quiet reflection, and simple rituals, Joy created a calm and meaningful afternoon that felt very special to all involved. Thank you, Joy, for holding such a compassionate space for our community. If you woud like like to add your loved one’s name to our Commemorative tree, you will find it situated in the Fremlin Lounge along with our Commemorative Book. ❤️

We had a lovely time at our Christmas Coffee Morning, made even more special by a visit from The Mayor of Tunbridge Wells Councillor David Osbourne who attended with The Mayoress Lynne🎄☕
There were plenty of tasty mince pies to enjoy. It was wonderful to see residents and visitors coming together to catch up, and soak up some Christmas spirit.
A really enjoyable morning of good company, festive treats, and friendly conversation. We were especially grateful to have The Mayor draw our Christmas Raffle with prizes kindly donated by our visitors and professional partners. A great atmosphere all round.🥰Thankyou .
