This week, we were delighted to host the wonderful Sandra, who entertained everyone with her saxophone performance. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

We also took advantage of the mild weather yesterday to meet up with families at the Mitre Coffee Shop/Restaurant. We would like to extend our sincere thanks once again to the owners and staff for their invaluable help and for always making us feel so welcome.

We have had another busy period here at St Georges Nursing Home!
Recently, we enjoyed an outing to support the Royston Crow Football Club. We also celebrated several birthdays with delicious homemade cakes.
We were thoroughly entertained by "Pass the Buch," who performed funny and cheeky folk songs. Residents who frequent the Royston Folk Club will recognize Chris and Richard, who not only held a concert in our dayroom but also entertained some residents one-on-one in their rooms.
We are so grateful to the Knit and Natter group from Royston Parish Church for their generosity; we have received our beautiful winter knitted and crocheted blankets and shawls.
Frank Taylor visited and treated us to a festive afternoon, playing his trumpet and keyboard. There was dancing and donuts in the dayroom, and we also delivered our Halloween sweet parcels to the local nurseries nearby.
Families have also been visiting regularly, which is always wonderful to see.
Thanks,

I'm sharing a few pictures and stories from our activities this past week.

One of our very creative residents repainted and redecorated an old watering can, giving it a beautiful new look after fixing the spout. Hairdresser Dora also visited and styled several residents' hair. We started painting plates for Halloween, and everyone enjoyed the entertainment provided by "Happy Sally" on her clarinet. She also performed one-on-one sessions in residents' rooms.
