Hoping all the mums out there have had a lovely day.

Working with my students is great but I also love getting to know the rest of the family too.

Today i’d like to give a huge shout out to the mums who are supporting, organising, coordinating and generally working their socks off behind the scenes, in order to support their children.

And for my Mother’s Day……… I got to help my year 11 daughter revise direct and inverse proportion 😂

Positive Tuition would like to wish a happy belated birthday to the one and only Stanley!

Keeping up to date on social media is not one of my strong points and it is such a busy time of year as we are heading toward exam season!!

Therefore, Stanley’s happy birthday is a day late but I felt my sidekick who keeps me company throughout the day and is always happy to see a student and get a belly rub, needed a mention.

So happy 4th birthday Stanley!!

Well first week back after Christmas has certainly felt exciting. A flurry of snow arrived yesterday but more importantly text messages from my November GCSE re-sit students!

A massive well done to them passing their maths GCSE meaning they can now move forward with their next stage of their lives in education and working! Brilliant result!!

Well today’s daytime lessons have included: understanding square numbers and playing pairs to match them up ( I was told I had to include the photo with the final piles as my student won!! ), solving a Christmas mystery using algebra and making Christmas crackers by matching up sequences with the correct nth term. Christmas is creeping into Positive tuition.

3rd lesson with student. We’ve gone from expanding single brackets to expanding double to her asking can you expand triple brackets.
