‼️👋 Is Frequency Or Duration More Important?
Duration of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) sessions isn’t as important as the frequency of sessions.
For example:
Let's say somebody was going to do six hours a week of HBOT.
Scenario 1: They came in on Saturday and did one six hour session
Scenario 2: They came Monday, Wednesday, & Friday and did two hour sessions those three days a week.
Scenario 3: They came in Monday THROUGH Saturday and did 60 minutes, six days a week.
Even though over the course of the week all scenarios total six hours of treatment, I would argue that it's exceptionally more beneficial for the person who came in six days a week for one hour (Scenario 3) than either of the other 2 options.
So, as a general statement, I do want to say that “Overall frequency trumps duration.”
Going in and out of the chamber more often seems to have a bigger effect than the total amount of time someone spends in the chamber.
