👋 Meet Nimesh Patel, our newest Osteopath, joining the team on Wednesday 13th August!

Nimesh graduated from the College of Osteopaths after previously completing a BSc (Hons) in Sport Science and Management. Alongside his osteopathic training, he also holds qualifications as an ECB Level 2 Cricket Coach, Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer.

He takes a whole-body approach to treatment, combining soft-tissue techniques, joint mobilisation and gentle manipulation. His aim is to restore movement, reduce muscle tension, improve circulation and nerve flow, and support the body’s natural healing processes. Nimesh enjoys working with a wide range of patients, from those with acute injuries to individuals managing more chronic conditions, always tailoring his approach to each person’s needs and goals.

With a background in sport science and coaching, he has a particular interest in exercise rehabilitation and performance-focused care. He is passionate about helping people understand their bodies and equipping them with the tools to support their own recovery and wellbeing.

Outside the clinic, Nimesh coaches cricket through the All Stars and Dynamos programmes and enjoys staying active, spending time with friends and family, and making the most of the outdoors.

We are excited to welcome him to the team and know our patients will be too 👏

We ask a multitude of questions about you; the pregnancy, baby, home life, and family history but if anything seems irrelevant, please don’t hesitate to ask 🗒️

We will ask you to dress baby down to nappy for the appointment so we can see skin tone, rashes, texture etc, so we advise to dress them in something easy to put on and off 🧦

Try and avoid feeding them 30 mins before the session to avoid any sicky accidents, but obviously if this is unavoidable we understand and can work around 🤮

Baby can get a little unsettled and uncomfortable during the session, this is very normal dealing with tensions around the body, so we can absolutely treat while they feed or while you hold them - whatever is most comfortable 🧑🏾‍🍼

We don’t mind you changing nappies during the session as it will make them more comfortable, pls don’t hesitate to tell your osteopath you’d like to change them, we don’t mind and this avoids other accidents 💩

It’s normal for them to be tired, a little irritable, or extra hungry after the session but if you have any questions just give us a call or email 🍼

We do offer combined mum and baby sessions for an hour if mum you also need some tlc🤰🏽

In terms of how many sessions, it varies per little human, sometimes after 3, no more is needed, some keep an MOT session once a month to support as they grow, this is completely preference 🦴

We use a lot of cranial treatment with babies which looks like we aren’t doing a lot, but the treatment is still, using our hands and listening to the body while simultaneously treating and you can usually see this by baby taking a breathe, relaxing, or even passing wind!
