Update!

For the first time in 35 years I have a straight right leg and a knee that sits how it should.
After surgery I found out that they had twisted my tibia bone a massive 30 degrees. It was 54 degrees externally twisted to begin with. Which was an extensive twist they told me.

Considering how extensive this surgery was I was surprised to see how small and neat my scars were when I had my stitches removed yesterday.

I still have no use of my leg, can’t lift it or bend it.
It’s a very strange feeling. I can see my leg, I can physically feel my leg but it doesn’t feel apart of me.
I’m trying my best with exercises but the pain is something else. I’m hoping this eases over the next few weeks but physio starts next week 🤢

I’m 2 weeks post op now. I have a long journey ahead of me still but I have the most incredible support 🫶🏼

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to update on here.
I hope you’re all ok and not missing your treatments too much.

I had my operation Monday 13th FINALLY, after 5 days and 4 nights in hospital I was discharged and home by 4pm yesterday.
It all went well, It’s been tough, and I know it’s going to be even harder as the days go on.

I’m on crutches for a while, I can’t weight bare for 8 weeks. Then from 8 weeks I can only partially weight bare.

I’m doing my exercises and trying to control the pain, the medication I’m on is great it’s just trying to balance everything out.

I’m living upstairs until my appointment to have stitches removed. Then I’ll be able to go back upstairs for a few more weeks before my first physio session since coming out.

My mum and Dan have been incredible. I’m being well looked after.

As you all know it’s so difficult for me to sit still and do nothing. I’m finding it hard letting people do things for me. I’m helping where I can with any jobs I can do.

Good evening,

Well my final day has come to an end. I shall see all of your wonderful faces next year!
Thank you all so much for continuing to supporting me, 8 years of trade next month. I’ve never had time off work other than maternity leave. So this is going to be very strange.
My op is Monday 13th. I have some jobs to do at home before hand and get things sorted.

As much as I’d love to rush back, I can’t, I have to be 100% on my return. I’m hoping to be back around February/March. I’ll keep you all updated on my recovery.

If you can’t wait for me I totally understand, I still want you all to have your treatments, I have some wonderful people who I can highly recommend who will look after you while I’m off.
They are all Rugeley based and are gorgeous ladies.

This lovely lady, Helen, came to me last week for a brow wax. I was obsessed with her long lashes.

I patch tested her at the time for tint and for lamination/lash lift treatment for any future appointments.

She then messaged me a few days later after seeing some of my before and after photos of a lash lift.
