Applause at a funeral is a growing trend that can be quite polarising. It’s shifting from the traditional quiet moment to a more uplifting "celebration of life" approach, often used to honour the deceased or support the speakers.
While many people see it as a heartfelt, lively, and joyful way to pay tribute, some critics feel it might take the focus away from the person who has passed.
Personally, I believe that encouraging each other with applause and warm welcomes can be a wonderful thing, adding a touch of positivity to difficult moments. It is also a very positive way to collectively show our appreciation to the person who has died.
