10 reasons why you should register for a Virtual Monday Night Run (as opposed to just planning to do a run/walk)
1. Registering commits/motivates you to do a run/walk.
2. There’s accountability as, if you don’t run/post, I’ll check why.
3. You have the option of joining the informal group MNR.
4. Posting you’ve done one, makes you feel good....
5. ….and motivates/encourages others to run/walk.
6. You get a shout out once you complete 50 MNRs.
7. You get a Dash for Fitness MNR Mug for completing 100.
8. You get a shout out once you complete 150 and 250.
9. You get a medal for completing 200, 300, 400, (etc.)
10. If you stop registering, I’ll often check all is okay with you.
Registering shows intent but, to realise most benefits, you’ll need to let me know it’s done, by:
• messaging me direct, or in our (by invitation) Whatsapp group, or in our latest Facebook or Instagram post. Ideally, with a photo you’re happy for me to use; or
• coming along to our informal group MNR, where you get the added social and motivational benefits of running/walking with enthusiastic and encouraging people.
Mugs and medals are presented at our socials (usually quarterly) or can be collected at informal group runs (if I know you’re attending). Those hitting milestones are informed directly, as well as getting shout outs in Facebook posts. I’m also going to start using our Whatsapp group to highlight who is approaching a milestone. And you can ask your current MNR count at any time.
So, if you'd like to do a VMNR, anywhere in the world (between 5pm Sunday and 11am Tuesday), including at our informal group VMNR in Broadwood Ave (meeting at Kings College Cafe car park at 6.30pm), please register at: Clubspark / Dash For Fitness / Coaching
