Life with an intermittent catheter can affect more than just your physical health. The emotional impact is often less visible, but just as real.

That's why we've developed the Emotional Wellbeing Programme, to explore the emotional challenges of using intermittent catheters and offer practical tools to help users feel supported, understood and empowered.

One of those tools is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). During the programme, CBT expert Keira McGarrity, guides you through how our experiences influence thoughts, feelings and behaviours, offering strategies to build confidence, manage unhelpful thinking, and feel more in control.

On World Mental Health day, we're raising awareness of the emotional and mental wellbeing challenges that often go unseen, especially for those living with continence needs and using intermittent catheters.

Adjusting to life with intermittent catheterisation can be overwhelming, from managing routines in public spaces to rebuilding confidence and independence. The emotional journey is often just as challenging as the physical one.
