🌍 Today is World AIDS Day

AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is the name for a collection of serious illnesses caused by the HIV virus. It’s now often called late-stage or advanced HIV.

Thanks to effective treatment, most people living with HIV in the UK do not develop AIDS — early testing and ongoing care make all the difference.

Let’s stand together to raise awareness, end stigma, and support those affected by HIV and AIDS.
