FUNGAL NAIL
The medical term for fungal nail infection is Onychomycosis.
The infection is usually caused by a yeast or mold infection which are types of fungi, it is rarely painful unless the infection becomes more severe. Small cracks in your nail or surrounding skin can allow germs to enter your nail and cause infection

HOW DO I KNOW I HAVE A FUNGAL NAIL INFECTION
The nail may become thickened or have a whitish to yellow or brown discoloration and may crumble, they may lift or loosen from the nail bed and appear misshapen. A dark colour caused be debris may build up under your nail causing a foul smell.

FUNGAL NAIL TREATMENT

LACUNA METHOD
Several tiny holes are drilled into the nail plate, the number of holes depends on the extent of the infection and size of nail being treated. Once the holes are completed an anti-fungal treatment is applied over the nail. the holes allow the medicament to reach the source of the infection.

A review is recommended every 6-8 weeks as more holes may need to be drilled as the nail grows forward

Personal details will be taken for record cards and Medical history taken, All information is stored securely adhering to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
On completion of all details a foot assessment will be carried out by practitioner to assess feet. Once practitioner and client are happy with consultation/Foot Assessment Treatment can begin.
