HRT and Breast Cancer: Busting the Myths. Nikki addresses one of the most common and daunting concerns women have about HRT: breast cancer risk. Drawing on Dr. Avrum Bluming’s Oestrogen Matters, she challenges decades-old findings from the Women’s Health Initiative that shaped public perception in the 1990s. Newer evidence reveals that oestrogen-only HRT can actually lower breast cancer risk in women without a uterus, while combined therapy with body-identical progesterone carries far less risk than many believe - especially in the first five years. A powerful reminder that science moves forward, and so should our understanding of women’s health.
