Card 3 - If I do nothing, then...

Nine of Air

It started with one hornet. It appeared one night while the fairy slept. It buzzed around, threatening to sting the poor creature, keeping the fairy on edge and awake throughout the night. The following night there were two, the next night three, and so on. They went over in their all the things they could have done; all the wrong decisions made that brought the swarm to torment them so ruthlessly.
At night when it is time to sleep, the anticipation of the arrival of the hornets keeps them on guard and unable to rest their eyes. The stronger the fear and anxiety they feel, the faster they arrive. The worrying itself makes the fear and anxiety worse! What the exhausted fairy doesn't realise is that each hornet just wants to be acknowledged. To rid themself of the pests, all they need to do is address each one by it's name.
The Nine of Air brings a tornado of fear and anxiety; it is the energy that will keep you wide awake at night, focused on all the things going wrong. At the same time, a cloudy "night-brain" doesn't provide any clear solutions for dealing with the problem that is keeping you up. You may find yourself up in the middle of the night asking yourself if you did everything right, did you take care of pressing issues? Come daytime, however, all worry and stress becomes just a memory of a rotten nights sleep with no actions taken to resolve the issue. Then comes the next night, and sure enough, the same worries surface. With unresolved problems comes a new set of concerns, as guilt and blame jump in, making that tornado of negative thoughts potent.
When the Nine of Air appears, you may want to consider if you are creating undue anxiety bynot addressing the source of unhappiness. Perhaps you are giving a situation more power than it deserves by overthinking a problem, resulting in unnecessary stress? Are you fretting so much over something to the point that you attract the issue you wish to avoid?

Card 2 - A behaviour to change

Seven of Water

Chores left undone, gazing at the stars....
though tasked to clear a path through the seaweed, this mermaid could not help but drop their scythe and reach for the closest star that hovered around the water's edge. The mermaid told themself they would only take a quick look, but then quickly lost themself in it's brightness, and hours passed by like a blip.
The night sky in Förhäxa offers no ordinary grouping of stars; these stars possess the power to project all the possibilities your future could hold, all of the possibilities for you within the universe. Of course, there is a catch; these stars mesmerise and incapacitate star gamers who stare too long. For those who are strong, who can tear themselves away, the images across the sky serve as a valuable tool-a pathway to one's deepest desires. For those who become lost, whose heads stay in the clouds eagerly anticipating the next projection, what they see is no more real than a fairytale; what they see will never be.
Tasks that need completion can seem all the more boring in comparison when fun or relaxing activities are present. When the Seven of Water shows up, you may have been overindulging in some wishful thinking and have become lost in a dream without putting the work in to make it reality. The Seven of Water sometimes calls us out for being lazy, and this doesn't mean just managing chores; it can also speak to playing small when it comes to our dreams. Are you settling for easy distractions when you could be focusing on more significant, more exciting goals?
