A day by the sea for your Nice Work team as we head down to Hastings for the half marathon!

We'll be joined by Team GB's Charlotte Purdue who'll be sending everyone on their way around the historic 13.1 mile route where crowds will cheer everyone home back to the race village and finish line on Sea Road.

It's going to be another fantastic day - will we see you there? Post those 'flat lays' below!

Ok, be honest! Who's excited for today?

If the vibe from Sherwood Pines carries over to online on Monday, that will be a lot of you! Yesterday saw hundreds of runners embrace the beauty of Sherwood Pines - Forestry England as they took on our 10km, half marathon or 20 mile race.

We're back in Sherwood this Sunday and it is a sell-out! The new 20 miler is popular with all and ideal as part of Spring marathon training or as a target on its own!

This does mean that we are not able to accept entries on the day (except for the junior race), sadly as our capacity is taken.

Final info emails will be hitting your inboxes shortly and we can't wait to see you on Sunday morning!

Yes, who doesn't want to jump for joy when Friday comes around and there is an even bigger spring in the step for those taking part in the Colchester Half Marathon on Sunday. (Whisper it, there may even be some spring weather too).

This incredible race has gained popularity year on year and when you've finished and crossed the line, you'll know why!

"Everyone loves a trier" is a phrase often heard, often in a slightly patronising way. But if you don't try, how can you succeed in anything? We see so many first timers at our races, taking their jump to an organised event and to crossing the start line. For them (and indeed for us all), the challenge doesn't end there. You have to keep on trying as that is how you get to the finish line.

With the Winter Olympics now passed, it is time to recall on at least one athlete who personified being a "trier". Lindsey Vonn knew the odds were against her, but she tried. Though things didn't work out as she wanted, she left the competition knowing she did everything she could.

The dictionary defines a trier as, "a person who always makes an effort, however unsuccessful they may be."
