This weekend is one of those very rare ones where your Nice Work team can catch a breath as there's no race for us.

That said, we are right back at it with a whole host of awesome events over many different days as we dive into Spring.

19/04 - Kent Spring Marathon & Half Marathon, Martello Half Marathon.
26/04 - Tissington Trail Marathon & Half Marathon, Bold Round the Holt (5km, 10km & Half).
02/05 - Mid Sussex Half Marathon ( East Grinstead 10m Sat 2nd; Haywards Heath 10m Sun 3rd; Burgess Hill 10km Mon 4th)
08/05 - Rye Summer Series 10km & 5km - Race 1
10/05 - Oliver Fisher 10km/5km; Rathfinny Run; Colchester 10km.

Whisper it....marathon season is upon us. Why whisper you may ask? Type "maranoia" into your search engine and you'll find out why!

A marathon is the culmination of weeks and weeks of training so it is natural that people are anxious or concerned ahead of the race. The journey to the finish line is not one that starts at the start line after all.

But there is a 26.2 mile journey for each runner and this quote is so right. Yes the finisher may be tired, sore and aching, but to cross the finish line they may have had to dig deep and discover more about themselves than they knew possible. Whether a marathon is your first or twenty-first, there will always be challenges to overcome - and that person crossing the finish line will have many more new reasons to be proud of themselves, as they do so!

The start of a long Easter weekend for most, but for your Nice Work teams, this means bringing more Easter fun to our runners!

Sunday sees the Chasewater Easter Egg Challenge where fancy dress goes hand-in-hand with marathon training with 5km, 10km, 15km and 20km distances for our runners. And of course there is junior fun to be had - it is Easter after all.

Easter Monday sees us in the heart of the capital for yet more Easter running in Regent's Park for a 10km, 2 mile fun run and junior race.

There may be a Creme Egg waiting for you at the finish too!

Just in case there was any doubt about how many events we had over the weekend - there were two! (And at Monsal there were races over two days!)

Suffice to say that there was a bit of a north/south divide when it comes to the weather and though the clocks moved to BST, temperatures are on a bit of a catch up.

Whatever you faced, all medals were well earned and since it is , now is the time to show them off! 🏅

It's another double bubble weekend for your Nice Work teams and double the fun at Monsal too!

Saturday AND Sunday sees the sold out half marathons and 10km races in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District, and there is 20m and half marathon action too on quiet country roads in Lydd.

With the weather taking yet another turn, it is so easy to be downbeat. The glimmer of light on the horizon is that BST is almost upon us and warmer, sunnier days are not too far away.

We will always have our runs to inspire us though, and yes, whilst maybe the rain jacket will have to come out for another week, we know that soon it will be hung up for a few months. Getting out there and enjoying what we do, puts a smile on our faces - something that the rain cannot wash away.

A day by the sea for your Nice Work team as we head down to Hastings for the half marathon!

We'll be joined by Team GB's Charlotte Purdue who'll be sending everyone on their way around the historic 13.1 mile route where crowds will cheer everyone home back to the race village and finish line on Sea Road.

Ok, be honest! Who's excited for today?

If the vibe from Sherwood Pines carries over to online on Monday, that will be a lot of you! Yesterday saw hundreds of runners embrace the beauty of Sherwood Pines - Forestry England as they took on our 10km, half marathon or 20 mile race.

We're back in Sherwood this Sunday and it is a sell-out! The new 20 miler is popular with all and ideal as part of Spring marathon training or as a target on its own!

This does mean that we are not able to accept entries on the day (except for the junior race), sadly as our capacity is taken.

Final info emails will be hitting your inboxes shortly and we can't wait to see you on Sunday morning!
