✨️ Remeberance morning at Stanley Wilson Lodge Care Home - Excelcare.

We started the morning with the two minute silence and watched some of the service on the tele.

Residents then enjoyed a glass of sherry, listened to some war time songs, had a sing song and helped us to decorate the display 🎶🎨

Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.

They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;

They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

✨️ Its Monday and that could only mean one thing... Its trolley shop day! 🍬🍭🍪🥤

✨️ Residents were able to top up their goodies for the week and this is a great opportunity to catch up with them all!

We had a lovely visit from the St Thomas More school children.

💥 - We made sparklers and did Guy Fawkes colouring. The activity was enjoyed by all. The children even used their sparklers as wands to cast spells on the residents.

✨ June and Joyce really tried their best with a game of tumbling blocks and connect four

✨ It was nice to have individual interactions with these two lovely ladies and we also had some lovely conversations! 🗣️👥
