As the colder whether arrives, so do viruses like colds and flu. Before contacting the GP, please think "pharmacy first", they may be able to help and if they are unable, they will be able to direct you to an alternative service.

A pharmacy service can help with all kinds of ailments; coughs/colds, sore throat, ear infections, mild eczema, impetigo, sinusitis, urinary tract infections.

NOTICE FROM ADDENBROOKE'S HOSPITAL

Strike action by Junior Doctor members of the British Medical Association (BMA) will take place at CUH from 07:00 on Friday 25 July until 7:00 on Wednesday 30 July 2025.

Our key focus is on providing safe care for patients who need urgent and emergency services, and those receiving inpatient care in our hospitals.

During strike action, we will prioritise resources to protect emergency treatment - life and limb-threatening, critical care, neonatal care and trauma.

In order to ensure that urgent and emergency care is adequately staffed some elective activity will need to be cancelled. This will ensure that staff available to work are allocated to areas of greatest need.

If patients have not heard from us they should attend their appointment as planned.
