Sarah’s journey with Abbots Care reflects her dedication to the care sector, progressing from Care Worker, through several central support roles, and now to Care Director. She played a key part in leading our care team to an Outstanding rating in our most recent CQC inspection and continues to drive innovation, including leading our ELK cushion pilot scheme to help relieve pressure on local health services.

Today marks remembrance day, an opportunity to reflect and remember the sacrifices of those who gave their lives to protect others.

Our client Peter was a teenager during World War 2, and has written a short book detailing what life was like at home between 1939 and 1945. The book provides a detailed insight into the ongoing war efforts on home soil and the effort of the nation to keep going despite the challenging circumstances.

Having fun at work is one of our core company values, so what better way to start our awards night than a game of 'guess the lyrics' complete with music from a live band.

Being a Care Worker does come with its challenges as well as its rewards and having fun whilst at work is important to keep ourselves and our clients supported, we delivered over 1 million hours of care in the last year and it's important that every hour is delivered with a smile.
