While YT Team Kili were trekking last week, a small group of us were covering as many miles as we could back in the UK!

Our target was huge - to try to cover the distance from St Albans to Mount Kilimanjaro as a 12 day virtual challenge, as part of our work to raise awareness of Helping Herts and our work as one of their charity partners.

We want to say a huge congratulations and thank you to everyone who took part - walking, running and cycling, with energy, enthusiasm and commitment. While we didn't manage to reach our target, we had a lot of fun and all got moving - and have learned lots about running virtual events in the future!

Step into the world of 1984 at The Abbey Theatre with the Company of Ten this 23rd April.

Adapted by Mathew Dunster, this gripping production follows Winston Smith as he navigates life under Big Brother’s totalitarian rule, where surveillance is constant, history is rewritten, and even thinking freely is dangerous.

All proceeds support Youth Talk and Citizens Advice St Albans District.
