A little update about ETL Run Club 🧡

We’ve decided to close ETL Run Club for now. It hasn’t been an easy decision - after 2.5 years, we’re proud of all we’ve built - but it’s the right move so we can focus on what we do best: coaching.

There are lots of great social run clubs out there, and we want to let them keep doing their thing while we focus on helping runners with:

• Strength and conditioning
• Personalised programming
• Sports massage & recovery support
• Nutrition coaching

These are the things that keep runners strong, fit, injury-free, healthy and confident - and the areas we couldn’t fully offer in weekly Run Club sessions, though we’re incredibly proud of the support, expertise, and community we shared.

A huge shoutout to Iwan, who’s been amazing heading up the run club, planning and coaching the run sessions.

Iwan’s now focusing on our online run coaching and will also be offering run-specific strength sessions, giving runners tailored programmes and ongoing support.

As a team, we’re placing all our focsus on our coaching clients, in person and online, and supporting our community even more with their nutrition, fitness, strength, mindset and wellbeing, and social meets through the year.

We’re also now offering workshops for businesses and local sports clubs.

A huge congratulations to and Coach G on completing the Pen Llyn Coast2Coast Winter 60k Ultra last Saturday 🏃‍♂️

This demanding course involves running 60k around the stunning Llyn Peninsula.

Mel finished 3rd female in a time of 7:44, and G finished 7th female in a time of 7:59 in her first ever ultramarathon 👏🏼. A huge testament to both of your hard work, consistency, and approach to training.

Both Mel and G have been using our Group PT programme and Hyrox sessions, as well as 1-to-1 PT and running coaching with Coach Iwan

Congratulations to you both 👏🏼. We can’t wait to see what’s next on the calendar 🤩

When it comes to Personal Training, we believe your training should fit your life - not the other way around.

That’s why we work with you as an individual, creating a fully personalised programme built around your goals, your current fitness level and your schedule.

Your journey with us starts with a chat - we’ll listen to your goals, schedule, health and fitness experience, answer your questions, and explain how we can help you and what options might work best.

Next, you’ll take action and sign up, completing a short onboarding form (health, history, goals) so we can start exactly from where you are.

Then, we’ll get started with your first session: a full-body training session using bodyweight and resistance movements. This helps us understand your movement, training experience, and where to focus on for progress. We’ll also chat more about your fitness story and what you want to achieve.

From there, we’ll create your bespoke programme - available in your ETL app - so you can view, log, and track your sessions. Whether you’re training independently or in your 1:1 sessions, we’ll use this data alongside getting to know you, to adapt and evolve your programme as you progress.

Nutrition and lifestyle coaching? We’ll support you with that too. You’ll track your food, daily movement, sleep, etc. and we’ll review this and work with you to build or optimise your habits to support your goals, health and strength.

A personalised programme, designed for you - with coaching and support that helps you make changes that last and achieve results that feel good for life.

🔸 NEW COACH - WELCOME CHRIS 🔸

We’re very excited to welcome Chris to the ETL coaching team!

Chris has recently qualified as a Level 2 Fitness Instructor and is working towards his Level 3 Personal Training qualification.

With 20+ years in corporate roles, Chris knows what it’s like to work in high-pressure, high-stress environments - and how much daily movement and exercise can transform your energy, mood, focus and motivation. He’s passionate about helping others feel the same benefits.

Chris has experienced this first-hand at as a personal training client for over 2 years, training 2–3x per week with Kel, he’s built a routine that has supported both work and life, helped him navigate busy times and recover from burnout, and now he wants to help others do the same.

Outside the gym, Chris loves exploring the countryside and coast with his dogs, Ron and Neville, and this year bought a campervan to spend even more time doing just that.
