What a night!

The Cornwall Tourism Awards brought together so many amazing people across the tourism sector. There was such a great atmosphere and it was lovely to celebrate the success and achievements of so many local businesses.

Thank you to David Rogers and the team at Wet Wheels South West for sharing a table with us. The work you do to support people with getting out on the water is incredible, congratulations on your award!

Thanks to Jeannie Cain from ASC Finance for Business for joining us and thank you to our amazing medic Pete who supported the event.

It was also a pleasure to sponsor the Large Visitor Attraction of the Year Award. Congratulations to Trebah Garden, National Maritime Museum Cornwall, Lappa Valley and Camel Creek Family Adventure Park.

Finally, a huge thank you to Robin Barker, Nell and the team for hosting such a wonderful evening. Your hard work and dedication to the tourism sector is inspiring.

Roll on 2026!

🔥 Fire Risk Assessment Standards for Landlords in 2025 – Are You Ready?

Fire safety is no longer just good practice for landlords, it is the law. With new regulations and the introduction of BS 9792:2025, the expectations for landlords have never been clearer or stricter.

In our latest blog, we explain:
🧯 What BS 9792:2025 means for landlords and managing agents
🏠 Who needs to comply and what properties are covered
📋 The new legal requirements for assessments, record keeping, and fire door inspections
✅ How to stay compliant and avoid costly penalties

If you own or manage rental property, this is essential reading. It could save you time, money, and serious legal issues.

Proud to be supporting Children's Hospice South West 💚

This amazing charity provides hospice care for babies, children and young people with life- limiting conditions and their whole family across the South West.

This weekend, we will be providing medical cover at their Moonlight Memory Walk at Lost Gardens of Heligan and in December, we will be supporting their Santas on the Run event at the Eden Project. Come and say hello to our team 👋🏻

This local charity holds a special place in our hearts and we will continue to support them and the amazing work they do.

Practical hands on learning ✔️

When attending a first aid course, we focus on practical hands on sessions that help build confidence, embed skills and give you an opportunity to practice.

As a standard, all of our first aid sessions include life threatening bleed training. An important skill to know in a remote part of the world.

Whilst there is a place for the theory side, first aid is a practical life skill and whilst we hope you won’t have to use it, it’s important to have these lifesaving skills.

On National Menopause Day, we at Cornwall Training, engage with support for Menopause.

Our blog shows what you can do to help your workforce.

Menopause is a natural life stage that affects millions of workers across the UK, yet it remains the least supported health issues in the workplace.
