I'm doing some prep today ready for this week's vision board sessions with the new wellbeing project that Im involved in.

This is a lovely mindful activity where you can just be in the present moment, get creative, and choose how to display your vision board.

It's also a nice gentle way to re-connect with who you are, focus on what is important to you, and set some positive intentions.πŸ’œ

I've had a little 48-hour social media break.πŸ’œ

It came on the back of feeling physically unwell this week and staying home a bit more to look after myself.

I've been talking with others about how much time we spend on our phones and whether it increases anxiety and overwhelm.

It's hard to find a balance when I post positive things to promote my business on here as I will say I'm working when really I'm doom scrolling.

Just reducing my scroll time a little bit has given me more time for:

⭐️ reading my book
⭐️ listening to music
⭐️morning meditation + tapping practice
⭐️ exercise + stretching
⭐️creative crafting

It's ironic that I'm posting about it! But I'm interested in other people's thoughts on this.πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ’•

I filmed a podcast with the lovely .kalmkoach who is hosting her own weekly show.

You can watch it soon wherever you get your podcasts, and of course, I'll be posting some links.Also, there's still time for other therapists to be brave and go on as a guest co host.

It was a bit scary but fun, too. I feel quite proud of myself for doing it.

I'm closing my client referrals until March.

This will give me the time to prioritise my current clients, a local wellbeing project that I'm involved with, and my own health and wellbeing.

Self care and choices πŸ’œπŸ’‘

I'm working all weekend in my other charity safeguarding job.

As I was up early, I decided to leave the laundry and house jobs behind and drive up to work early.

Feeling grateful for no knee pain today, which meant I could take a slow stroll around the waterside.

Fed my guilty pleasure with a Costa chai latte, and a bonus was that I'd reached my 10th purchase, so this drink was free. πŸ‘

I don't earn as much money now as what I did in previous public sector and leadership roles, but I'm happier and healthier.

What choice are you making for your self care today? πŸ’œ

I'm delighted to be delivering a new well-being project with young people in St Helens aged 18 to 21 who are supported by .

We will be helping each young person to set some positive intentions and goals for 2026.πŸ’«

At the wellbeing project, there will be a mix of individual and small group sessions available.

All about improving mental health, wellbeing, building confidence, and learning new skills.

The next group session is Wednesday, 28th January at 1pm. Pizza making with Jen from as well as myself and Megan from Futures as her assistants. πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ‘©β€πŸ³

We will learn from Jen how to bake the dough and create our own pizzas with fresh but affordable ingredients. It's a great skill that's fun and relaxing.

All the wellbeing sessions are free! Fully funded through the DFE trailblazer youth guarantee. How amazing is that! πŸ‘πŸ‘

January thoughts and intention setting.πŸ’«πŸ’œ
How are you starting your Monday?

Is it with a positive mindset or with feelings of dread? I've experienced both so can empathise with the dread.

However, my Mondays are different these days, which I'm grateful for. January is all about setting up good habits and routines for myself.

Mondays are about finding balance with my counselling business and making time for my well-being.

Today looks like:
* 7 am morning meditation using the APP insight timer
* 8am early admin and invoicing ( my brain works best before lunch time)
* 10am business & planning meeting about filming a podcast
* 11.30am yoga class & lunch
* 2- 4pm face to face clients at Harmony
* 4.30pm dog walk
* 5.30pm final planning for a wellbeing event
* 6.30pm cleaning, laundry, and cooking ( no escape from that!)
* 8pm family meal and little relax - we are watching Celebrity SAS, who dares wins

I'm a beach loving dog owner.🐾🌊

I offer therapeutic counselling, coaching, and wellbeing groups. πŸ˜ŒπŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

I'm all about the connection between mind and body for overcoming stress and anxiety. 🧠

I can include relaxation, mindfulness, gratitude, journaling, self-love coaching, and positive thinking in the sessions I offer πŸ’œ

I love being outdoors and see this as essential self care.🌳🌳

Who wants a happier January? Yes, please! 😊

I've just saved and printed this calendar. I'm going to keep a copy by my desk at home and at work to remind me each day of an easy, mindful task, I can do that, which costs me nothing.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's task as it fits nicely with a catch-up I have with my therapy friend .kalmkoach as we do some planning together on 2026 shared projects.

Isn't January the longest, coldest miserable month? Don't let it get in the way of some positive thinking and action! πŸ’œ

If you have been wanting something to change and you have been asking the universe for a sign, don't give up! Keep at it. I truly believe that what is meant for us doesn't pass us by.

However, we sometimes have to work hard by saying yes to things that scare us (but could be exciting 😬) and saying no or walking away when we feel our boundaries need tightening.⛔️

I'm doing a few new scary "yes" things this month. But I believe that nothing changes if nothing changes...

Have a great weekend, whatever you choose to do with your energy and precious time.

Remember to put the work into yourself as a little bit of self-love and self care can lead to happiness. πŸ’œ
