It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ada Muldoon, aged 86, on 21st November 2025. Ada leaves behind her devoted husband Billy and daughters Denise, Anne-Marie and Catherine and her sons in law Clint, Danny and John. Ada also leaves behind her loving grandchildren Christopher, Ian, Michael, Adam, Rhys and Kerrie.
Ada was very much loved by all her family and friends and she will be sorely missed. A service will be held at St Helens Crematorium at 1.30pm on Thursday 18th December, 2025. As your funeral director, we know that the holiday season can bring a special kind of heartache. Christmas lights, familiar songs, and cherished traditions can stir memories that feel both beautiful and unbearably heavy. Grief has its own rhythm, and it doesn’t pause for the holidays. ❤️

If you are entering this season with an empty chair at the table, please know that my thoughts are with you. It’s okay to feel joy one moment and sorrow the next. It’s okay to celebrate differently this year — or not at all. Your way through this season is the right way.

✨ Be gentle with yourself.
✨ Allow space for your grief, and space for your memories.
✨ Lean on others when you need support.

As the days grow shorter and the air turns colder, November often becomes a time of reflection. The quiet moments, the falling leaves, and the gentle shift toward the holiday season can bring memories of loved ones who are no longer with us a little closer to the surface. ❤️

This month, many families feel a mixture of gratitude and grief — and both are completely natural. You can cherish the moments you shared while still wishing for just one more. You can smile at a memory and feel the ache of missing someone at the same time.

Please remember:
✨ Grief doesn’t follow a calendar.
✨ Healing isn’t a straight line.
✨ And you don’t have to navigate this season alone.

We will be donating to St Helens Councils Gift Appeal again this year.
For the past 15 years, St Helens Borough Council has run a gift appeal for children aged from birth to 21 years (care leavers) at risk of waking up on Christmas Day without a present. During that time, tens of thousands of items have been donated, with last year's appeal alone resulting in more than £6,500 being raised as well as hundreds of gifts to be shared out between more than 850 children and young people.

Anyone who wishes to donate any gifts can drop them at any of our branches and we will pass them along.
