Evolving Our Practice. Strengthening Our Response. 🚑
We’ve enhanced our SALM medication modules — increasing both the range and quantity of medicines available to our FREUC5, AAP, EMT and SALM clinicians. These are in addition to our Doctor, Paramedic and Nurse POM bags. Allowing our non-HCP staff access to lifesaving medications. 💊
Building on our previous model, the updated pre-packed medication pouches now provide greater capacity to manage:
• Anaphylaxis
• Acute life threatening asthma and Addisons crisis
• Cardiac chest pain
• Opioid overdose
By expanding the medicines carried and standardising stock across teams, we’re:
✅ Improving access to critical treatments at the point of care
✅ Reducing delays in high-acuity situations
✅ Strengthening clinical resilience on scene
✅ Supporting safe, JRCALC-aligned practice
This enhancement reflects our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement — reviewing what we do, listening to staff feedback, and ensuring our teams have what they need to deliver the highest standard of patient care.
