From personal experience, everyone asked me how my wife was but no one asked how I was. Its great that this is now being more recognised. If any Dads (or anyone assuming the role of Dad) would like to talk about baby loss, please drop us a message or a WhatsApp on 07398 024387

"Men don't talk, but it's okay to talk about baby loss and that's what we're trying to do."

Yesterday, dads Brett, Sean, Sam, Steven and Aaron were on This Morning, talking about their football club, Forget Me Knot FC. The club was created to bring together local dads affected by baby loss.

The dads spoke about their experiences of baby loss and how connecting with other dads has helped them feel less alone in their grief.

Thank you all for sharing so openly ๐Ÿฉท

We know it can be hard to navigate baby loss without the right support.โ€‹ And almost two thirds of partners who have been through baby loss told us they need help to open up. โ€‹

That's why we created our Dads and Partners Hub, full of information, answers and stories from dads and partners.โ€‹ Find tailored support: https://bit.ly/3yOI5DZ

Today marks Parent Mental Health Day, founded by stem4, a timely reminder that supporting babies means supporting parents and carers too.

The first 1001 days, from pregnancy to age two, can be joyful, overwhelming and everything in-between. Parentsโ€™ mental health plays a critical role in babiesโ€™ development, shaping early relationships, emotional security and long-term wellbeing.

We understand it takes a village to raise a baby and thatโ€™s why family hubs and similar settings matter so much. By bringing services together under one roof, they offer parents and carers accessible, non-stigmatising support, including perinatal mental health care, peer support, parenting programmes and help navigating services.

On Parent Mental Health Day, we recognise these pressures and reaffirm our commitment to supporting frontline charities and family hubs that help parents and carers access the support they need, when it matters most.

Because when parents and carers are supported, babies are too.
