Its easy to feel anxious at this time of year. If you are, then here's a list of things to avoid which can compound those feelings

These are things that can increase anxiety.

Have a look and see if there's anything that maybe could use a little bit of attention.

A lot of these things can be impacted over the festive period. Let's try and manage keep some of these in mind (for the adults and children alike)

Here for our weekly drop in Sutton Family Hub. As usual we have Health Visiting Hub - St Helens doing Healthy baby checks. Citizens Advice St Helens giving budgeting and benefits advice. Sleep Clinic and Baby Sensory being delivered by St Helens Family Hubs.

Would like to send a massive thankyou to Handepay St Helens for their hospitality this morning and all the fund raising they are doing to help us support families and Dads across the whole of St Helens. Was very humbling to see the effort that all the staff had put in to support us and Home-Start St Helens.

✨ I LOVE YOUR ATTENTION, DAD!

👶 It is not possible to spoil a baby with too much attention or by giving them too much smiling and affection.

💛 The small interactions with you playing or soothing and comforting helps build safety and trust. You are letting baby know that if they need something you will try to meet their need.
💚 But you are also teaching your baby about what they are feeling. Babies will watch your face to see what you are feeling and that helps them figure out their own feelings.

Here at Sutton St Helens Family Hubs for our drop in session. If anyone has any questions about what we do, how we can help or something a bit more specific about your child feel free to call in and say hello.

Really like this. I think it shows how as men we can be reluctant to talk even when we know we need to. This time of year can be particularly difficult for many reasons. Loneliness, financial demands, false expectations being created by social media.

Don't suffer in silence.

New Dad work shop less than 2 weeks away. Brilliant for expectant Dads.

NEW DAD WORKSHOP

To end the year we will be running our online New Dad Workshops for new and expectant dads across Cheshire. This will be running on a monthly basis and our first will take place on Monday 15th December 2025 at 7:00pm

This is a 90 minute workshop for dads looking at
Attachment and Bonding 👨‍👦
Parental mental health 🧠
Access to services 🗣

We also take a look at birth, labour and what to expect after this from Dad's perspective
