A Trip to Knowsley Safari Park 🐅🦒🦏🚌

Yesterday we took a fun trip to Knowsley Safari Park with our lovely ladies Glenys, Kerry and Maureen, along with our WISH Activity Team and Minibus driver, Ste 🚌

Everyone had a fabulous time and made friends with the sea lions too. We saw lots of different animals driving and walking around with the highlight being able to watch the lions feeding! 🐅

🙌 Helping Hands Club 🙌

On Wednesday WISH Activity Team member Lisa and David attending their weekly visit to John Smith’s Helping Hands. David is always made to feel very welcome at this group, as do all of our residents - the organisers are a real credit to our community! This week we got a lovely decorated tea light holder and of course all the laughs and enjoyment of the groups 🥰

❤️ Happy Galentine’s Day! ❤️

Last Friday we celebrated Galentine’s Day, just like Valentine’s Day but celebrating the love for our friends and gal pals instead 🥰

Love was most certainly in the air with our heart decorations and a few pairs of heart sunglasses which made everyone smile! Our fab kitchen team also made us some lovely snacks to eat together whilst we strengthened our friendships ⭐️

Our cutie-pie Millie, who is proudly owned by one of our residents, Carl, was showing off her new outfit for us all last week! Doesn’t she look adorable - everyone loves having Millie being a part of their home ❤️🥰

A Week of Fun 🤩

We had a brilliant week to start February with lots of activities and trips out together. From preparing for Valentine’s Day with making clay crafts, to our weekly trip to Helping Hands community group and getting outdoors in our local park, it’s been another lovely week ❤️

⭐️ Employee of The Month ⭐️

We are so pleased and thankful to announce that for the final month of 2025, our employee of the month for December is our amazing Alan 👏

Alan so very much deserves this award for all his hard work in our grounds and gardens, especially in the cold and wet conditions! They are looking fantastic and ready for our ladies, gents and staff to enjoy when the weather warms up 🥰

Congratulations Alan and thank you for all you do for the home 👏

After a truly wonderful Christmas filled with warmth, laughter, and togetherness, we step into January feeling grateful and hopeful. The festive spirit shared across our homes has left us with many special memories and we want to keep up the fantastic spirit and joy into January.

January So Far! 🥰

With the hustle and bustle of December over, we have had a lovely start to January with a couple trips out and about. Zack and Zoe went out to the Glass Horse pub in St Helens for their lunch with WISH Activity Team Members Jackie and Lisa. Zack enjoyed his spicy burger and Zoe enjoyed her sausage and mash - clean plates all round! Then Lisa and our lovely Glenys went to the Helping Hands club for a little song and dance together ❤️

🎂 Happy 6️⃣0️⃣ Birthday Sean 🎂

Last week, we celebrated our super Sean's 60th birthday! Sean is our longest residing resident here at Stocks Hall St Helens and so he deserved a wonderful day to help him celebrate 🎉

We had a singer "Justine" who did a great collection of songs. Everyone was up dancing and singing, they loved the party. Glenys even got Herman up dancing!
