Ruby is a professional musician (violinist and composer) and discovered the power of yoga about six years ago. Through her practice, she discovered the means of 'self study' or Svadhaya. It is one of the corner stones of her practice and what inspired her to gain her 200 teacher training at Yoga London. She believes that to truly know yourself, is to know others and to know others is to help others, which is one of the main reasons she trained to become a yoga teacher! Empathy and sensitivity is what brings meaning to her life and wants to share this with her students as best she can. Ruby found the asanas and 'flow' of vinyasa flow yoga very intuitive and immediately found that music and yoga could form a beautiful and meaningful marriage. Music accesses the 'Anahata' or heart space, which in turn can help access ones practice in a very spiritual way. For Ruby, music has always been a companion and believes that ones journey of self improvement and learning is never ending, which she believes is the same with Yoga. Once ones practice begins, it will be a companion and guide for the rest of your life! Ruby's classes provide creative and flowing sequences, which vary thematically from week to week. Along with carefully constructed music playlists, this will enable the student to access and understand the asanas in a variety of ways! The pace of the classes will be strong and dynamic, for those who enjoy an energy boost! They are open level, so variations and modifications will be provided for students at any stage in their practice. Ruby places a huge emphasis on play, fun and simply enjoying the exploration of the body in a safe, non-competitive environment.
