🌟💌 A Truly Special Day! 💌🌟
Today was an absolutely unforgettable day for all of us! We received a very special letter from His Majesty King Charles III 👑🇬🇧
In his kind message, The King shared how encouraged and delighted he was to hear that our residents so enjoyed watching both the Coronation of his late mother, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 👑💖 and his own Coronation earlier this year. It’s truly heartwarming to know that our letter reached him and that he took the time to personally respond! 💬✨
The residents were overjoyed to read his thoughtful words — there were smiles all around, a few happy tears 🥹💞, and a great sense of pride and connection to such a historic moment.
Moments like these remind us just how special it is to share memories, celebrate tradition, and be part of something so meaningful together. 💂‍♀️🎉

🌸💐 Flower Arranging Fun at Amberley! 💐🌸

Today was an absolutely blooming fantastic day here at Amberley! 🌞🌷 Our lovely residents took part in a flower arranging session, and what a joyful time we had! 🎉

There were smiles all around as we chatted, laughed, and got creative with beautiful bunches of colourful blooms 🌺🌻🌼. The tables were filled with the sweet scent of fresh flowers and the sound of laughter — it was truly heart-warming to see everyone enjoying themselves. 💕

Each resident created their very own stunning arrangement 🌹, showing off their amazing creativity and personal flair. And the best part? Everyone got to keep their floral masterpieces to brighten up their rooms! 🌿✨

It was a day full of colour, cheer, and togetherness — we can’t wait for our next creative activity! 💖

🎶💖 The Power of Music in Action! 💖🎶
Yesterday, we witnessed something truly magical here at our community. One of our wonderful residents, Bob, gave the most beautiful and heartfelt performance on the glockenspiel, alongside our fabulous music therapist, Debbie. 🌟✨
As the gentle notes filled the room, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight — it was so moving and touched every single one of us. 😢💞 Watching Bob connect so deeply through music reminded us all just how powerful and healing music can be — it speaks where words cannot. 🎵💫
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do every single day — bringing joy, connection, and creativity to the wonderful people who make our community so special. 💐❤️

🌟 A Special Visit at Amberley Care Home! 🌟

Yesterday, we had a truly heartwarming day when our little superstar Nell came to visit! 💕 The residents were absolutely delighted to spend time with her — there were so many smiles, laughs, and cuddles all around. 🥰

Nell had a fantastic time chatting, playing, and sharing special moments with everyone. She brought so much joy and energy to the home — our residents haven’t stopped talking about how wonderful she was!

We also captured some beautiful pictures of Nell with our lovely residents, and you can really see the happiness shining through every photo. 📸✨

A Sweet Visit from Park Road Primary School
We were delighted to welcome the local primary school to The Amberley, where they brought joy, music, and sweet treats to share with our lovely residents.
As part of their Halloween cake sale, the children brought along a selection of delicious homemade cakes, which were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Their thoughtful gesture warmed hearts and sparked smiles all around.
The visit was made even more special with live piano playing and beautiful singing by the children. Their performances filled the room with energy and emotion, creating a truly heartfelt moment for our residents.
The children expressed how much they enjoyed their visit and have promised to return, next time bringing along more of their musical instruments to perform again.
It was a wonderful day of intergenerational connection, reminding us all of the joy that comes from shared moments, music, and kindness.

A heartfelt thank you to Joe, our Activities Lead, whose passion and initiative helped bring this month to life. What began as a simple conversation quickly blossomed into something meaningful—thanks to Joe’s enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication.

Joe took the ideas shared and ran with them, creating engaging, thoughtful experiences for our residents throughout the month. He also went above and beyond by sharing daily newsletters that highlighted the incredible stories, contributions, and positive impacts of our residents and their families. His efforts reminded us of the importance of connection, appreciation, and celebrating each individual.

Joe, your work has left a lasting impression on everyone involved. Thank you for leading with heart.

Heritage Day Celebration – 17th October

On the 17th of October, we came together to celebrate Heritage Day—a heartwarming occasion that showcased the richness of our diverse cultures. The day was filled with vibrant music, traditional dance, storytelling, and of course, delicious food that brought everyone together.

We explored a variety of cultural dishes, each lovingly prepared and enjoyed by all. The wonderful aromas and flavours sparked conversations and memories, reminding us how food connects us across generations and backgrounds.

Our lovely residents shared personal stories from the past, reflecting on their experiences during the war. They spoke about the chilling sound of sirens, the challenges of food rationing, and the sense of unity during difficult times. Their reflections reminded us how far we’ve come—and the importance of holding on to gratitude.

It was a day of laughter, learning, and connection—a beautiful celebration of heritage through taste, sound, and story.

Friday, 13th October, was a truly memorable day at Amberley Care Home.

We began the day with a very special celebration for Ruth’s birthday. The lounge was filled with joy and laughter as staff and residents gathered to wish her well. A beautiful birthday cake was brought out, and as everyone sang “Happy Birthday,” there were a few happy tears – a reflection of just how loved Ruth is in our community.

The afternoon took on a more reflective tone, as we honoured the memory of a much-missed resident, Stuart. Stuart had been a kind and thoughtful soul, and before his passing, he had arranged for rose bushes to be planted in the garden – a lasting gift to the home he cared so much about.

Together, residents and staff made their way outside, where we planted the roses in a quiet corner of the garden. The autumn sun shone gently as we placed a plaque in remembrance of Stuart, creating a peaceful spot for reflection and remembrance.

It was a touching and emotional moment – there were more tears, some smiles, and a deep sense of togetherness. The garden now holds a beautiful tribute to a wonderful man whose presence is still very much felt.

It was a day full of love, laughter, memories, and connection – a perfect example of the community spirit we cherish here at Amberley Care Home.

Yesterday, we proudly marked World Mental Health Day with a special celebration here at Amberley, recognising the importance of mental well-being for both our residents and our dedicated staff.

The day was filled with meaningful moments – from open conversations and calming activities to simply spending time together in support and reflection.

Mental health is something we value every day, but yesterday was a powerful reminder of the strength found in community, compassion, and care.

🌸 Farewell, Sylvia ! 🌸

Today, we say goodbye to someone who has been such a bright light in our workplace – our wonderful Admin Manager, Sylvia.

From day one, Sylvia brought not only incredible dedication and professionalism to her role, but also a warmth and positivity that truly made a difference. She was always ready with a smile, a kind word, and a calm presence – no matter how busy the day was.

Her kindness touched everyone – from staff to residents and their families. It’s clear how deeply she was loved and appreciated by all who had the pleasure of working with her.

Sylvia thank you for everything you've done. You’ll be deeply missed, but we’re excited for what lies ahead in your next chapter. 💐💼
