For your Information:
Ashton on Mersey Village Always in Bloom has changed its nameπ
Welcome to our new page, this group will now be used to share with all of the community the exciting changes that will be happening in Ashton On Mersey Village. All the traders have come together and have lots of positive ideas for improving our beautiful village.
If anybody has any ideas that they would like to share with us all about how they would like to improve the village please do share.
We would love to ask if anybody from the community would like to be involved, we are looking for volunteers, if you have a spare hour or a spare half or full day a month we would be so grateful.
Keep your eye out for the changes, they will start subtle and will grow from there.
We are an amazing diverse community, if anybody has any strengths and skills that they can share please let us know, we really look forward to hearing from you.
We, of course, are sadly not able to deal with the bigger council issues.

We are inspected, we are compliant and we are ready for broader regulation of the funeral sector. We welcome the recent findings of the Fuller Inquiry, providing care to families and their loved ones is more than an honour, itβs a responsibility and one that should be provided only by funeral directors who adhere to the highest standards. Always look for the SAIF logo.

β€οΈDoes anybody know who this lovely lady isβ€οΈ
We have come into the funeral home today to see our white bike covered in gorgeous poppies, itβs so striking.
We have had some photos sent to us but we donβt know who it is? We thank you very much whoever you are for all your hard work in making the flowers but also for placing them so beautifully on the bike, your kindness and generosity has made us smile and will Iβm sure make others smile xx.

Lovely to be able to sport such a wonderful buttonhole as I led the celebration of life for an extremely determined, loving and characterful lady at Manchester Crematorium today.
It's always a pleasure to work with Robbie and Steph at Herbert Murray Funeral Directors -- and to have the fortune to wear the buttonholes created by their fabulous florist.
πΉπ·π»πΊπΈπΌπͺ»Well the rain didnβt stop us all. Our lovely village is now planted ready to bloom for us all to enjoy. Thank you to all the volunteers that came, we are so blessed to live in such a community. Kindness and generosity of time is so infectious, we all laughed and smiled even though we were all soaked wet through. We all hope that you love the flowers as they bloom x πΊπΈπΌπͺ»π·π»πΉ

Herbert Murray Funeral Directors Journey so far...
Welcome to Herbert Murray Funeral Directors page. Now that our doors are open, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and tell you a little bit about our journey so far...
The team at Herbert Murray Funerals is made up of Robbie Murray and Steph Douglas. We believe in building strong, everlasting relations with you and your family and will care for the bereaved and those who have passed as if they are a member of our own family. We will endeavour to do what we can to help you to create a unique tribute to your loved ones lives and allow you to say goodbye your way. It truly is an honour when families allow us to be a part of their loved ones last journey.
We would like to thank those that have helped us on our fascinating journey to make Herbert Murray a dream come true. We have been blessed to meet some wonderful people along the way who have made this adventure even more special to us. We will be eternally grateful to those who have helped and supported us from start to finish.
After extensive work to the premises it is safe to say that 29 Green Lane is now unrecognisable from its former self. With a lot of hard work and devotion we feel we have now created a serene funeral home and those in our care will rest peacefully with us. We have tried to create a calm, welcoming environment for those who sadly need to come to us for our services.
We encourage you to pop in and say hello...We understand that for some coming to a funeral home is a difficult experience, especially when having to make the funeral arrangements. We are very open and honest funeral directors and will take the time to make you feel at ease. Some people find it beneficial to attend the funeral home before they or someone they know passes as it offers them the comfort of knowing the surroundings and getting to know those who will look after them. That and both Steph and Robbie love nothing more then sitting down to have a brew and a chat...
It has been an exciting time for us to see our funeral home blossom and we want our local community to feel a part of it too. Over the coming weeks we will be holding open days for you to attend and we will be getting involved in various activities in the area. As our funeral home is in the heart of the village of Ashton-on-Mersey, we intend to be in the heart of the community and will do what we can to support it. We have been overwhelmed by all of our cards, gifts and best wishes.
Also, a special thank you to those who came to support us on our first day of being open...and well done for finding us... we are pleased to say our sign is on route after being stuck in the snow and will be up by Friday, pictures to follow.
