If you’re doing hours of cardio but not seeing results... here’s why 🤔

We see this all the time with new members...

‘I’ve been doing cardio for months but nothing’s changing’

Here’s what we’ve learned works better for busy adults:

Strength training gives you:

➡️ More strength ➡️ Subsequently able to push harder next time ➡️ Builds the muscle that speeds up your metabolism ➡️ Makes everyday tasks easier!

Don’t get us wrong - cardio has its place!

But if you only have 45 minutes, 3x per week...

Strength training combined with effective use of cardio will give you better results.

That’s why all our sessions focus on this approach 💪

POV: You’re sat in the car park deciding whether to actually go in.

This mornings session had everything in it.

Members who had a rough weekend and felt every rep.

Members who got a new job offer and were flying.

People burning off the weekend.

People who had awful news and just needed somewhere to put it.

Some were firing at 100%. Some were running on fumes.

The one thing every single person had in common today - they showed up.

That’s it. THAT’S the whole thing.

You know you’ll have weeks where everything clicks and you float through the session... those days are brilliant.

But you don’t get those days without turning up on the ones where your head’s telling you to stay in bed.

The mood will lie to you. It’ll tell you today’s not the right day. That you’re not feeling it. That you’ll go tomorrow instead.

You have to learn to ignore that.

Because the session you least want to do is usually the one you most need.

Keep your training as non-negotiable as going to sleep at night... and it becomes your outlet for all of it.

The good weeks, the bad ones, the chaotic ones in between.

That’s what we try to teach here. And this morning was a pretty good example of it 💪

The weekend is yours 🤗

And when you’re fitter, stronger, more energised…

The world of possibilities genuinely awaits.

There’s something amazing about being in a position fitness wise where you can try something, do something spontaneously or express your energy.

At the end of the day that’s all we have.

Movement IS medicine.

And the more you can do to get fitter and stronger the more I believe you’ll get out of life.

Your past habits have led you here.

And that’s ok! You can change this.

But moving forward and bettering your health, confidence, fitness and wellbeing requires new habits, new challenges and new behaviours.

Different.

Different = uncomfortable.

But would you rather a challenge that drains you of energy staying the same…

Or a new challenge that inspires you to feel incredible and feel better long term.

One is going to make you feel uncomfortable in the short term, but if you choose not being different that’s discomfort long term…

Which is it going to be?! 🤔

‘I can’t do that’.

‘I’m not fit enough for this’.

‘I’m not strong enough yet’.

These are a few of the things we’ve heard time and time again since we started our new programme.

And whilst I fully empathise when I hear these - I’m always amazed by the intensity members bring, old AND new, and lean into pushing hard wherever their fitness level is at.

I love to push people in a session… safely.

So many of you don’t know how strong and capable you truly are.

You just sometimes need that expert eye to look over, give you the 👀 and encourage you to push that little bit more we know you can - or know to meet you at your fitness level.

So whilst those thoughts 100% feel real, you just need to find a space that does things safely and considers your fitness level.

I’m proud of the intent, purpose and energy each one of you brings to a session.

It makes our jobs as coaches so much fun!
