We’re coming up to 3 years since we’ve been open…

And my aim when creating a gym at Apex was to make strength training accessible to those who haven’t been given the time.

To create a safe space where personal coaching is paramount, so REGARDLESS of your fitness level, you can get stronger and get the 1-2-1 world class support behind the scenes to get incredible results - whatever they are!!

A lot of people want help losing weight.

A tonne more people are now changing mindset - and are aware getting stronger and building a lifestyle around sustainable health and fitness gives these results, but also drives weight loss as a result! 👏🏻

I used my setback as an excuse over the weekend to feel like crap 💩

Friendly reminder that weight isn’t an accurate measure of progress… here’s why! 👇🏻 Swipe for more info.

The human body, maybe even more so the female body, is so susceptible to changes in weight in a 24 hour window.

Yes a big factor is calories in vs calories out, but that’s more so on a time horizon of more so a week.

Weight is completely dictated by all of these and any combination of:

- Stress
- Hormone Levels
- Stage of menstrual cycle
- Water retention
- Low or high carb diets
- Lownor high salt diets
- Activity level
- Lack of sleep
- State of stress
- Illness

and so many more…

If you’re obsessing about daily weight fluctuations and you’re letting that get you in a bit of a stress, you need to remember there’s so much more that goes on.

This is why we advise tracking weight not daily - but eeekly or fortnightly.

It’s not worth playing the daily game of this! 🥲

So next time you get in a stress about this - compare it to a week ago or two weeks! If that’s no different - THEN you can start taking action on figuring out how to start losing it again!

If I’m honest… this time last year, I was at rock bottom.

Most people hear Movember and think dodgy moustaches - and yeah, mine will be horrendous 😅

But this month means something bigger to me personally:

Men’s mental health.

And actually… everyone’s mental health.

Training, nutrition, and community helped pull me out of a dark patch, and I’ve learned that talking, listening and sharing are skills we all have to work at.

(I seriously need to work at a few of these 😇)

That’s why, throughout November, our coaching team will be opening up about our own ups and downs - to show that you’re never alone, and support is always here.

We’ll also be hosting a Lads Workout + Coffee Morning later this month - a simple session + brew, and space to chat - if you want to.

You’ve got 16% of 2025 left 🚨

Are you happy with what you’ve got out the last few months in your health and fitness?

Or do you feel there’s a little more left to give before Christmas hits?

Know you could potentially feel better in your clothes?

Know you’ve got some strength left to gain?

Wishing you had higher energy going into these busier months?

Look - if you’ve followed us a while you know our ethos is about consistent habits over time, leading to amazing results. This is how you get lifelong results.

Undoing the years it took to get where you are now isn’t done in two weeks.

You CAN turn that mindset round.

But it is only achieved in the specific moment you accept that your journey becomes one that doesn’t care what time of year it is.

That when you start your health and fitness journey you shouldn’t be thinking in 2 week sprints.

If you don’t feel good about yourself it really shouldn’t wait till after Christmas. You’ll only feel worse.

Our next 6 week challenge starts next week and finishes on 21st December.

This is the perfect way to get on it over the busy months - and give you the habits to sustain either continuing with us or giving it a go on your own.
