Back Care Awareness Week 2025

Hey everyone! It’s Back Care Awareness Week 2025, and there’s no better time to remind you that your spine deserves some love, care and attention. As a chiropractor, I see daily how small habits (good and bad) make a big difference in back health. Let me share some simple, practical tips & stretches to help you feel better.

💡 Simple Tips for a Healthier Back

1. Mind your posture
🦴Try to keep your spine in a neutral curve (avoid slouching)
🦴Use a lumbar support or rolled towel behind your lower back if needed.
🦴Adjust your computer / screen height so your eyes look straight ahead (not too far down or up).

2. Move regularly
🦴Aim for a mini-break or stretch every 30–60 minutes.
🦴Walk, stretch, or change orientation.

3. Lift smart
🦴Bend your knees, keep your back straight, and lift with your legs, not your back.
🦴Avoid twisting while lifting heavy objects. Pivot your feet instead.

4. Strengthen your core & back muscles
🦴Gentle core exercises help support the spine.
🦴Strong muscles take stress off the joints and discs.

🤸 Try the stretches show in the slides and hold them for 20-30 seconds each!
