Under the simply stunning back drop of Bath today our Teams were out covering the Getpro Bath Half and couldn’t help feeling a little Bridgerton-esque with the view of Royal Crescent from one med centre.

A lot of event medicine seems to come down to competition between providers but we firmly believe in collaboration when needed for best patient outcomes. We love our working relationship with the amazing Elite Medical and Ambulance Services Ltd and today we had over 60 staff supporting nearly 13000 starters in one of two cities very close to us.

- Consultant led care with Consultant led briefing
- Critical care capability
- 10+ Ambulances all with Advanced Life Support capability
- Doctor rapid response vehicle
- Family Liaison support
- multiple foot crews / finish line responders / ALS manned first aid posts
- Warming and cooling capability ( we love our Polar Life Pod)
- ACPs, GP, CCP, Paramedics, Nurses, Technicians, Medical responders
- Full control and command team including NILO trained staff to support us in the event of a major incident
- Visible senior leadership ( Director Level) for both teams

We are really excited to be supporting and working alongside a brand new local festival in its inaugural year on the beautiful Gilcombe Farm in Bruton ( PS amazing farm shop if you are in the area) - you will find our amazing team of medical personnel supporting Show of Hands Festival - with everything from live music to hot air balloons it promises to be a great event 🤩

Make sure you pop along and see our two Docs speaking at Trauma Care tomorrow in the Police stream! Whilst it might not the be “high end high adrenaline” level of trauma people train for it’s a very hidden trauma to the victims and one which can have long lasting impact. You may not be invovled in policing but for night time economy, events and other pre-hospital areas of work this could be your next Patient

Our wider team have worked alongside affected individuals, social media influencers and Event Organisations and charities to ensure we offer a comprehensive safe plan at events for victims of spiking

10 days till our first large scale event of the year and again are working with our amazing friends Elite Medical and Ambulance Services Ltd - immense amount of meetings / plannings have gone into deliver this event in an iconic city

- over 10 🚑 being deployed by CQC regulated providers
- over 50 personnel from Doctors through to First responders capable of everything from a 🩹 to a feeling 🤢 right through managing to the most critically unwell patient
- 2 field 🏥
- capability with latest best practice to cool if high body temperature 🥵 through to warm if a low body temperature 🥶
- family liaison link for anyone conveyed 🧑🏼‍💻

Currently our Operations Director is in training for one heli of a task . . . . Jon is getting his Lycra on and cycling a lot of miles in 2027 to raise money for some very vital pre-hospital charities TASC and TAAS

Hugely proud that two of our Doctors are speaking at this years Trauma Care Conference next month.

Our Organisation has spent a lot of time working with the event sector and individual events to develop and deliver safe protocols around spiking as well as debunking some of the myths that both Organsiers and other Agencies have. This presentation titled Spiking “the hidden trauma” covers everything from definitions / prevalence / agents / pattern recognition / after care and psychological impact

As part of our commitment to delivering outstanding care and best practice we have arriving very soon a Polar Life Pod

We have registered Clinicians ( Doctors, CCPs and Paramedics) that have spent many hours looking at best practice guidance and evidence base around pre-hospital cooling linking in with military colleagues and other sporting events both in the UK and abroad.

So many options suggested which may well be effective eg rolling in cold water in a piece of tarp don’t allow patient monitoring, can get staff very wet and don’t allow medication to be administered. We settled on the pod as:

- it has a a floating head rest to prevent water covering face and water inhalation risk
- it has arm ports to be able to access fingers and arms for BP and Pulse monitoring
- arm port allows for cannualtion and medication delivery
- allows effective immersion of body, neck and back of head to rapidly increase cooling time
- is portable and can easily be set up anywhere

We hope never to need to use it but to have this technology a with proven life saving track record demonstrates our commitment to investing in patient care

From Crits to cyclocross to multi-stage tours, half marathons, rugby and many more sporting events we cover them all providing everything from first responders through to specialist trauma Consultants

We have extensive expertise in cycling and adhering to UCI regulations and providing rapid evidence based trauma care at the roadside

Today has seen an another series of large outdoor music events drop into our calendar for 2026 and hopefully beyond.

So whilst the weather might be dreary and dull outside we are already planning for some long summer days and evenings delivering medical care at events up and down the Country

A trip into the City is on the cards for our crews this month - supporting an existing Client with Clincians and a conveying Ambulance

As well as providing a stand alone CQC registered Ambulance service we also supply bolt on services to work collaboratively with other event medical providers whether it’s strategic / operational command or Clincians and vehicles we’ve got it covered
