At our care homes, we know just how much joy, comfort, and companionship pets bring into our lives. From wagging tails to gentle purrs, animals have a special way of lifting spirits and sparking beautiful memories.

This National Pet Month, we’re celebrating all the furry (and sometimes feathery!) friends who bring smiles to our residents’ faces every day. Whether it’s visiting therapy animals or cherished pets in our residents’ own lives, the bond is truly heart-warming 💛

April is Stress Awareness Month 💚

Working in care is incredibly rewarding, but it can also be challenging at times. That’s why supporting the wellbeing of our staff is so important to us.

🌸🐰 We are getting creative this Easter at Harnham Croft! This April, our residents are enjoying festive Easter crafts, from making paper Easter eggs for our egg hunt, decorating colourful Easter bonnets, to painting beautiful Easter-themed pictures on glass. 💛

🌸🐰 Happy Easter weekend from all of us at Harnham Croft ! This weekend is packed with fun and festive activities for our residents. We’re getting creative with Easter crafts, making paper Easter eggs for an egg hunt, decorating Easter bonnets, and painting beautiful Easter-themed pictures on glass.

On Good Friday, residents will enjoy some delicious hot cross buns 🍞, and we’ll be planting our potatoes just after. Saturday brings the excitement of our Easter egg hunt, and on Easter Sunday we’ll join our local church for a special Easter service combined with our monthly Holy Communion, followed by a sing-along of residents’ favorite hymns 🎶 and afternoon tea with traditional Simnel cake.

A huge thank you to our amazing staff for making all of this possible, including those working over the holiday. 💛 We hope everyone enjoys a joyful, fun-filled Easter weekend with family, friends, and lots of smiles! 🌼🐣

As we come to the end of Nutrition & Hydration Week, we’ve really enjoyed spending time focusing on how we can help residents stay energised, maintain a healthy weight, and reduce the risk of illness by improving their nutrition and hydration 💛

From sharing favourite meals to encouraging regular drinks and creating more social mealtimes, it’s been lovely to see our residents enjoying these simple moments together.

A big thank you to our team for their care and attention, always going above and beyond to ensure every resident enjoys their time with us - from their favourite home comfort meals to a cup of tea made just the way they like it. It truly makes such a difference.

Happy Mothering Sunday to all our wonderful residents, families and friends at Harnham Croft 🌸

Today we celebrate the many forms that mothering can take — the kindness, patience, guidance and care that people share with others throughout their lives. Whether through family, friendship or everyday acts of support, these moments of nurturing make our Home so special.

We are grateful to the loved ones who support our residents and to those whose care and wisdom have shaped the lives of others over the years.

And a very special thank you as well to our fantastic team members. Your compassion and dedication bring comfort and warmth to our residents every day, and we truly appreciate everything you do.

At Harnham Croft, we are proud to be surrounded by inspiring women — from the wonderful residents who share their life stories and wisdom, to the dedicated staff who bring kindness, compassion and strength to our home each day. Our incredible team includes our Managers, Nurses, Senior Carers, Carers, Housekeeping, Catering, Well-being and our Reception and Admin staff — all working together to make Harnham Croft feel like home 🥰💐

Getting out and about!

Our residents and staff love how a change of scenery can make all the difference - from cafe lunch stops to trips to the garden centre, we always love to ensure our residents have opportunity to visit places outside of the home as they wish🌿
