AFPST at the Royal Navy Championships 🇬🇧❄️

What a week on snow for our AFPST crew at the Royal Navy Championships!

Rosie, Dom and Ben settled straight into the beginner group and were totally at home from the start. Meanwhile, Arsen and Ben L were busy honing their coaching skills; Ben leading a brilliant diagonal side‑slipping session with Arsen supporting as the whole group, athletes and able‑bodied alike, lapped the Rosset lift together. Having both of them on hand was invaluable once we moved onto the mountain lifts.

A huge shoutout to Rosie, who absolutely shone. After her accident last year, we’re so pleased to have her back on snow. Arsen and Amy spent plenty of time riding behind to block while Ben L coached her down run after run, and he communicated with her so well. A real team effort.

The snowboard beginners race was a highlight, and our skiers were on fire too. Even the commentators noticed Dom in action as he carved his way through the course!

An epic week all round. Massive well done to everyone who took part, supported, coached and cheered. This is what AFPST spirit looks like. ❄️💙🏔️

The AFPST team had a productive and energising few days in Serre Chevalier, combining time on snow with meaningful engagement across the wider military snow community.

The trip began with the team gathering at Gatwick before travelling out to Turin and onward to resort. Once in Serre Chevalier, the group linked up with the AWSA and quickly integrated into the programme, joining structured on‑snow activities and spending time with a wide range of supporters and partners. They joined different groups on the mountains and took part in the opening ceremony which was a great highlight.

As the weekend progressed, the team continued to rotate through groups, meeting new faces, reconnecting with long‑standing supporters, and representing AFPST with confidence and pride. A more relaxed Sunday allowed for informal catch‑ups on the mountain, followed by the Team Captains’ drinks in the evening, creating further opportunities to engage with our wider snowfamily.

Throughout the trip, the AFPST athletes worked seamlessly together, showing genuine enthusiasm, professionalism, and camaraderie. Their ability to connect, communicate, and represent the organisation so naturally was a real credit to the team. They were outstanding ambassadors for AFPST. .j0758 Thank you 👊

And thank you for welcoming us to your competition;
