Overthinking, Panic Attacks, and Letting It Wash Through | I Can Cope Method with Charlotte and Jonty

Charlotte Phillips (clinical hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner) and Jonty (landlord of the Duke of York pub in Salisbury). Jonty talks about a painful thumb bite from a “fat little mouse” brought into the kitchen by Charlotte’s cat Smokey. Charlotte describes screaming when a spider dropped down in her car, leading into a discussion on how thoughts drive fear and overthinking. They explore catastrophising. Jonty relives panic attacks he experienced for several years after the 2008 financial crash, describing avoidance of crowds, needing to be near exits, and quitting driving after a panic attack in traffic.
Charlotte shares hypnotherapy work with a client with panic attacks whose anxiety reduced during their first session. They give coping strategies such as acceptance, not feeding the panic, letting it pass, and wash over. They also talk about a parties and how Jonty manages these.

How to stop smoking and quit va**ng in one hypnotherapy session. Find the trigger and drive.

Smoking, Va**ng, Stress & Mindset: A Late-Night Pub Chat with Charlotte Hypnotherapist and Salisbury Landlord Jonty

Clinical hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner Charlotte Phillips chats with Jonty, landlord of the Duke of York Pub in Salisbury, about how the pub handles smoking and va**ng and how Jonty quit smoking.

Charlotte describes her own smoking timeline, quitting finally in February 2011 after her young son asked her not to die like her father, and explains how desire, purpose, and mindset support change.

Charlotte outlines smoking-cessation stopping strategies and a hypnotherapy case where a 64-year-old who started smoking at 14 and stopped smoking after one session, quit, by identifying triggers like stress, anxiety, changing routines and access to ci******es, using aversive associations (a sealed jar of cigarette butts and smell), and committing to a quit date.

Jonty links his past heavy smoking to stress relief, says quitting alcohol was essential to quitting smoking, and explains he has bipolar disorder (diagnosed manic depression) and found he is seasonally affected; he feels healthier without drinking and smoking, with fewer hangovers and less coughing.
