✨ Take a moment for yourself ✨

Yesterday we celebrated International Women’s Day, a beautiful reminder of the strength, resilience, and kindness that women bring to the world every day. 🌸

As a female massage therapist, I feel honoured to support other women by creating a calm, safe space where you can pause, breathe, and truly relax.

Whether you’re juggling work, family, or simply need a moment for yourself, you deserve time to restore your body and mind. 💆‍♀️

Happy St Piran’s Day! ⚫️⚪️

Although I grew up in a different part of the world, living here in Saltash has made me feel like a propa Cornish maid now. I’m so grateful for how welcoming and supportive this community is – it really does make this town special.

Today Saltash Town Council even organised a walk over Royal Albert Bridge into Devon… you know, if you fancied popping over to the other side for a bit! 😊

Happy St Piran’s Day everyone — Kernow bys vyken! ⚫️⚪️

Cornwall [korn•wall] noun – The land where sun rarely shines but the pasties always do, and the only thing more abundant than seagulls are the cliffside views.
Home to beaches, cream teas, me and an unrivalled love for surfing, whether the waves are good or not. 🥰

This is your reminder that you’re doing great this week. Keep going and enjoy the sunshine. ☀️

✨ Why you might feel sore after a massage ✨

It’s normal to feel mild soreness after a massage – especially if we’ve worked on tight areas or long-held tension. Massage increases circulation and releases built-up stress in the muscles, and your body may respond with temporary soreness, similar to after a good workout.

This usually fades within 24–48 hours and is part of your body adjusting.

💧 To help reduce soreness:
• Drink plenty of water
• Do some gentle stretching
• Take a warm bath or shower
• Rest if your body asks for it

If soreness ever feels intense or lasts longer than expected, please reach out. I’m always happy to check in and make sure we adjust pressure or techniques for your comfort.

Your comfort and well-being are always my priority 💙

💫 Emotions live in the body 💫

As a massage therapist, one of the most important things I help my clients understand is that when we experience stress, our body responds physiologically.

I mean anxiety, overwhelm, even unprocessed pain move through your nervous system. They show up in tight shoulders, neck, jaw, lower back.

Massage isn’t just about relaxing muscles. It’s about:
💆‍♀️ Supporting your nervous system
🌿 Helping your body release stored tension
💛 Creating space for both physical and emotional relief

If you’ve been carrying more than usual lately, this is your reminder: you don’t have to hold it all alone. 🪷

🪷 Connection between massage and digestion 🪷

✨Yes, they are absolutely related! ✨
Massage helps activate the body’s parasympathetic nervous system, often called the “rest and digest” mode.

By reducing stress hormones and calming the nervous system, massage encourages your body to return to a state where digestion can function more efficiently.

And what about those tummy rumbles (they are called borborygmi, who knew 😁) during a session? It’s simply the movement of gas and fluids through the intestines, a healthy sign that you’ve relaxed and your system is active and functioning.

Your body works best when it feels safe and supported. Massage with me helps create that space. 🥰

💬 Why am I feeling cold after the massage? 💬

It’s completely normal for some people to feel a little cold after a massage, even on a warm day. During your session, your body shifts into a deep relaxation state.

As muscles release and circulation improves, your nervous system slows down, your heart rate may drop slightly, and your internal thermostat can temporarily adjust. That’s why I keep my room warm and use heated bed blanket. 🥰

Even when the weather warms up, your body after massage can still be in that calm, reset mode. That’s why I always recommend bringing warm, comfortable clothing to your appointment (cozy socks, layers, or a jumper).

This helps your body stay relaxed and fully enjoy the benefits of your massage. 💆‍♀️

Yesterday I took part in a webinar titled “Reducing the harm from screens”.

It was aimed to help parents understanding the addictive nature of technology to help their children, but frankly we could all do with spending less time in front of different sized screens and more time moving, creating and spending in nature.

I will admit that in this soggy weather I took my child to cinema yesterday… so technically we just looked at the biggest display available, but we had fun together experiencing 4DX. 😁

If scrolling leaves you feeling less-than, maybe it’s time for a little tech detox. Or better yet – book yourself in for a massage, switch off properly, and reconnect with your own body and mind.

This season isn’t about whether someone else chooses you. It’s about choosing yourself too. 🥰

🌧️ Baby, it’s raining outside 🌧️

It’s been wet and windy here in the UK so far in 2026. In some parts of Devon (North Wyke) and Cornwall (Cardinham) and Devon, they’ve seen rain every single day since the New Year. Grey skies, soggy socks… the full works.

We can’t change the weather. But we can change our perception.

Wear a bold colour.
Buy yourself a sexy raincoat or fabulous wellies.
Put on the bright lipstick.

Sometimes shifting your energy shifts everything and suddenly the weather doesn’t feel quite so dreary after all.

When I realised my shoes were not as waterproof as I thought, new pair of socks from Lovingly Local did just the trick. Plus camellias are out and days are lighter, yey! Get your waterproofs and stay positive. 🤗
